Katy Perry And Russell Brand Seen At Lakers Game, But Not Together
Katy Perry and Russell Brand were seen at a Los Angeles Lakers game …. only not together.
The former couple decided to take in the NBA opener for the Lakers, who played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and lost to the Dallas Mavericks.
With the Lakers faltering in their first game this season, celebrity watchers scanned the crowd and happened to notice Perry and Brand at the game, the New York Post noted.
Perry and Brand being spotted at the game marks the first time the former couple has been photographed in the same public space since they divorced last December. It doesn’t appear that they crossed paths or even saw each other at Tuesday’s game, E! News reported. Perry brought her father Keith Hudson to the game while Brand sat with friends on the opposite side of the court.
Though less than one year since they finalized their split, Perry and Brand have each moved on. The “Teenage Dream” singer has dated musician John Mayer, while Brand has played the field, dating talent agent Isabella Brewster and Spice Girl Gerri Halliwell.
Brand seemed to adopt a carefree attitude about the split, not taking it terribly personally.
“Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t,” Brand has said of marriage. “But if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.”
