‘The Voice’ Rumors: Christina Aguilera Back With Miley Cyrus For Season 13, Adam Levine & Blake Shelton Quitting?
The Voice has yet to announce who will be sitting alongside Miley Cyrus on Season 13 this fall, but fans are already speculating about what the coaching panel will look like in the second half of 2017, with many urging Christina Aguilera to return to the show amid reports that veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton may not return.
Fans have been taking to Twitter to let Voice producers know their picks for the new season. So far, Miley is the only coach announced to return after sitting out Season 12, and a slew of viewers have urged Christina to head back to her spinning chair after being absent from the NBC singing series since Season 10.
“So Christina is coming back to The Voice for season 13?” Aguilera fan @QueenXtina_ tweeted out amid speculation regarding the coaching line-up for the upcoming round of shows, set to debut in the second half of 2017, while @DougStigall4 wrote, “Hey Christina, miss seeing you on The Voice. Hope you will come back.”
Voice and Christina fan @enzooocaasi also tweeted out his support for Aguilera to return to the series after sitting out what will be two seasons, writing on the social media site on December 16 that The Voice should “Bring Christina back!” and @smdangel8 recently wrote amid the speculation Aguilera could be back in her spinning chair, “The Voice needs to bring Christina back.”
Christina has not yet commented on fan demand to bring her back to The Voice for Season 13, and producers of the show have remained equally tight-lipped about Aguilera’s potential return to the series. It’s thought that if Aguilera does make her way back to The Voice next year, she could potentially replace Blake Shelton after sources claimed that the country star may not return for the second half of 2017.
While Shelton is already confirmed to head back to the show alongside Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, and girlfriend Gwen Stefani for Season 12, sources alleged that Alicia, Gwen, and Blake could potentially leave after the upcoming season, supposedly making way for Christina to return with Miley, Adam, and Pharrell Williams.
That’s according to rumors on Season 13 posted online by Cyrus fan account @TeamCyrusHD, who posted unconfirmed rumors claiming Miley would be joined by Christina, Adam, and Pharrell when The Voice picks up again in the fall of 2017.
“Rumor is that along with Miley, the other Season 13 coaches will be Adam, Christina and Pharrell!” @TeamCyrusHD tweeted out last month of the coaching speculation, though Voice producers have not yet commented on the claims.
Blake Shelton has also not confirmed rumors claiming he won’t be carrying on with the show after the next cycle. The latest round of The Voice coaching line-up rumors come amid claims that both Shelton and Adam Levine allegedly do not want to continue on with the show with Miley Cyrus.
That’s according to Radar Online, who recently alleged that “both Adam and Blake feel that they have run their course as judges.” Supposedly, they haven’t been seeing eye to eye with Cyrus ever since she joined The Voice earlier this year, meaning they could be about to quit amid speculation Aguilera could be ready to take over a vacant seat.
“Adam does not really want to return if they bring Miley back,” continued the insider, shortly before it was claimed that Christina and Pharrell could be gearing up for a return to The Voice, adding that Levine could quit the show and take Blake and Gwen with him.
But while the feud claims continue to swirl, Cyrus appeared to shut down reports of a nasty feud between herself and her fellow coaches that have run rampant for the past several months, publicly praising her co-coaches on Instagram following the Season 11 finale of The Voice.
“I believe in my heart I was brought to the voice to meet not only the incredible artists competing BUT my fellow coaches [Adam, Blake] and of course big sis [Alicia]!!!!” Cyrus captioned a photo of herself and Alicia on The Voice set amid rumors she could soon be sitting alongside Aguilera.
“I love you so much! This time spent together was good for my soul & thankful I have you in my corner,” Cyrus then continued of her Voice co-stars, despite months of feud accusations.
Miley then continued to gush over her Voice co-coaches in another post, seemingly dispelling the feud rumors by writing that she, Adam, Blake, and Alicia were “one big happy [The Voice] family,” though the coaches will not be reuniting as a foursome for Season 12.
Would you like to see Christina Aguilera return to The Voice alongside Miley Cyrus? Do you think Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will quit?
