Brad Pitt’s Hopes For A Christmas Reunion With His Kids Reportedly Ruined By Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt’s hopes of seeing his six children over the holidays may have gotten crushed by Angelina Jolie’s new proposal. Jolie is willing to allow Pitt to deliver Christmas gifts to the kids but she doesn’t want him sticking around.
According to the Sun, Jolie only wants Pitt to see the children for a few hours on Christmas day. The actress allegedly wanted to leave Pitt out of the holiday festivities altogether but didn’t want to hurt the kids.
“She doesn’t have the heart to refuse to let him see the children over the holidays and they would probably never forgive her if she did,” an insider revealed. “But Brad is going to have to use every ounce of his acting skill when he arrives with their presents and put on a brave face to mask the torment he’s going through over spending so little time with them.”
Jolie is currently renting out a multi-million dollar estate in Malibu. All six of the kids – Maddox (15), Pax (13), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10), and twins Knox and Vivienne (8) – are living with her while the custody battle rages on in the courts.
After Jolie filed for divorce in September, Pitt was hit with reports of child abuse. The Allied star has since been cleared by both the FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Jolie cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and requested full physical custody of the children.
Pitt’s lawyer countered with a joint custody request and the actor agreed to several visitation stipulations. To see his children, Pitt is required to undergo therapy for anger management and be open for random monthly drug and alcohol tests.
“He bit his tongue and suffered through all of that in the hope Angelina would allow him more time with their kids,” and insider shared.
Sadly, Brad Pitt hasn’t had as much access to the kids as he would like. Despite all the obstacles, Us Magazine reports that Pitt had high hopes for a Christmas reunion. “Brad hopes to see the kids for Christmas at some point,” a source told the outlet. “But when hasn’t been determined.”
Pitt has used all the legal means at his disposal to see the kids over the holidays. Over the past month, Pitt’s lawyers have exchanged heated emails with Jolie’s attorneys, who claim that Pitt does “Not seem to have any regard for what the children’s therapists feel is in their best interests.”
In early December, Jolie’s team warned the actor that seeking joint custody could create a “costly” and “public court” battle. Based on everything that has gone done in recent weeks, it looks like Pitt is willing to do everything in his power to fight Jolie for custody rights.
According to Radar Online, Pitt is already moving on and ready to mingle with some of Hollywood’s elite personalities. An insider told the outlet that Jolie kept a secret list of women Pitt wasn’t allowed to work with. Now that Jolie is out of the picture, Pitt is free to see whoever he wants.
“Taylor Schilling, Lady Gaga and even openly gay Sarah Paulson were all on Angie’s blacklist for Brad,” the source revealed. “He’s ramping up his new social circle and actively pursuing all of the above and more for work and social opportunities. He’s ready to finally have some fun!”
Jolie is reportedly having a harder time with the split. In an appearance on the red carpet during t he 22nd Critics’ Choice Awards, E! News reports that Jon Voight dished on his daughter’s status after the divorce. Voight is looking forward to spending the holidays with his grandchildren and revealed that the Tomb Raider star is “holding on.”
“She’s OK,” he stated. “She’s holding on.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not commented publicly on their custody battle.
