Felicity Jones Nude: Naked Scenes From 2011 Movie Go Viral After ‘Rogue One’ Actress Finds Her Big Break

Felicity Jones is seeing her nude scenes go viral again as the actress featured in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has found her big break.

After a career filled with mostly smaller roles and some critical acclaim but no big name recognition, Jones has found that the success of Rogue One has fans interested in the racier roles she’s played.

In the blockbuster Star Wars hit, Jones plays the Rebel fighter Jyn, who is part of a plot to steal plans to the Death Star that ended up being destroyed in the first installment of the Star Wars series. Like Daisy Ridley in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the British Jones earned critical praise for her first major role.

“[T]he performances are more good than great, although the fragile-looking Jones certainly throws everything at her first big action role and gets through her most testing moment – delivering the line ‘may the force be with us’ without cracking a smile – with aplomb,” the Daily Mail said of her performance.

Known mostly for her work in Britain, Jones earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in 2011 for her role in The Theory of Everything. But she was far from a big Hollywood name before signing on as a lead in Rogue One.

The newfound fame for the 33-year-old actress has led to another area of interest — her racy scenes from the past. There was a surge in Google activity for Felicity Jones nude scenes, and the U.K.’s Sun provided some background on when Jones could be seen in the buff.

“The Brit actress… went nude in 2011 romcom Chalet Girl,” the report noted.

“She was in the buff after a drunken hot-tub dip in the film, set in the Alps.”

The Sun even included a picture of a nude Felicity Jones from a movie screenshot, but in the image, the actress can be seen covering up with a pair of large winter gloves.

And Jones will certainly have a lot more name recognition now. The movie made $155 million in its opening weekend in the United States and a total of $290 million worldwide, CNNMoney reported. And the breakdown would appear to be heavily tilted toward viewers who may be more inclined to seek out the old nude scenes that Felicity Jones had done earlier in her career.

“The audience demographics for Rogue One this weekend were 59% male and 41% female, while 26% were between the age of 26 and 34, according to data shared by the studio,” CNNMoney reported.

While her nude scene may be famous now, Felicity Jones said she hopes her Rogue One character can become something of a role model for girls who rarely see actresses in lead action roles.

“I just feel it’s a wonderful moment that young girls get to celebrate someone like Jyn just as they did with Daisy Ridley’s Rey (in Star Wars: The Force Awakens),” she told the New York Daily News.

“She is someone who has great humanity, she has an independent spirit and lives by her beliefs, and I think there’s something wonderful about her for a young girl to admire.”

Felicity Jones isn’t the only actress to see a sharp increase in interest in her past nude work after gaining a newfound fame. Actress Megan Markle — best known at the moment as Prince Harry’s new girlfriend — appeared nude in an episode of the show Suits that was largely forgotten. But despite airing many years ago, that racy scene went viral after Markle started her relationship with the British royal.
