Porsha Williams Calls Out Kandi Burruss For Breaking Girl Code With Phaedra Parks

The latest The Real Housewives of Atlanta episode that aired on Sunday night showed the definitive end of one of Phaedra Parks’ friendships but also as the continued strength of another one. Viewers saw Phaedra and Kandi Burruss have a very tense exchange with one another, during which Kandi made a damaging claim about Phaedra before walking off. Luckily for Phaedra, she still has a good friend in Porsha Williams, who was shown babysitting Phaedra’s two young sons and having some laughs with her as usual. So what does Porsha think of how Kandi treated Phaedra? As the episode aired, Porsha posted a tweet that called out Kandi for breaking girl code.

Porsha and Phaedra are such good friends, both on and off the screen, that they go by the nickname “Frick and Frack.” As Phaedra’s scene with Kandi aired, Porsha tweeted that “all kinds of girl codes have been broken.”

Many of the comments to Porsha’s tweet agreed that Kandi broke girl code. One person called Kandi a “snake.”

Another person tweeted that while Phaedra stayed “classy and clean,” Kandi played dirty like her mom, Mama Joyce.

Throughout the seasons, Mama Joyce has often been shown gossiping about others, in particular, Phaedra. In the past few episodes, Mama Joyce has claimed that Phaedra was aware of her ex Apollo Nida’s crimes, implied that Phaedra actually played a part in the crimes, was lying about why she and Apollo weren’t divorced yet, and was lying about the bomb threat that she supposedly faced from a former client.

Yet there were those who defended Kandi. One person pointed out that Phaedra has made some very unkind comments about Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, in the past.

Last season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra, during a confessional interview regarding her fitness video payment dispute with Todd, snarked that Todd must not have received his allowance from Kandi and belittled his career in the entertainment field.

Another person tweeted that it was Phaedra who started the drama and Kandi is just now finishing it.

Yet another person wrote that at least Kandi told Phaedra what she thought to her face.

“@Porsha4real code gets broken when bitches make slick comments out their mouth behind your back. Kandi told @ PhaedraParks off to her face”

Porsha posted her tweet on her Instagram page and asked viewers for their thoughts.

As on Twitter, most of the comments left on Porsha’s Instagram page bashed Kandi for how she treated Phaedra. Many people wrote that it seemed as if Phaedra genuinely wanted to reach out to Kandi but Kandi not only didn’t give Phaedra a chance but went so far as spilling things about her that she should have kept secret, even if they were no longer friends.

On Twitter, in response to one viewer who thanked her for being a “sister” to Phaedra, Porsha said that she will always be one for Phaedra.

Prior to the airing of the tense scene, Porsha admitted that she was nervous about watching it.

Porsha Williams also re-tweeted a viewer’s tweet that pointed out how Phaedra and Porsha don’t even talk about Kandi but Kandi seems to talk a lot about Phaedra when she gets together with her friends.

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks met in a restaurant at Phaedra’s request. Phaedra, who used to be very good friends with Kandi, said that she wanted to talk about the comments that Kandi’s mom, Mama Joyce, made about the media-reported bomb threat that Phaedra said actually didn’t happen. The conversation between the two former friends, however, quickly veered from what Mama Joyce said to Phaedra accusing Kandi of making light of the difficulties she faced with her ex, the currently-incarcerated Apollo Nida, and Kandi, in turn, accusing Phaedra of making herself out to be someone to be pitied when she was really celebrating the fact that Apollo was going to be gone.

“We both know, you was counting down the days until he went away anyways…I’m making it light cause you made it light to me.”

According to Kandi, not only was Phaedra happily counting down to when she was finally free of Apollo, she was also seeing other people. Kandi spilled what Phaedra told her when they were still friends.

“You was already talking to other people before your husband even went to jail. When we would talk, you be like, you was already planning to marry somebody else by the new year. So really, it was a stress off your back at the time. That was the way you were putting it to me.”

Kandi then said that Phaedra portrayed herself as a woman who was still standing by her man for her public image.

“You was doing your pity party but with me there was no pity party.”

Kandi then lashed out at Phaedra for crying to former co-star NeNe Leakes about their friendship when she didn’t even cry to her about Apollo, therefore implying that Phaedra was just playing a role for the camera and threw their friendship under the bus for a story line. When Phaedra retorted that perhaps she cared more about their friendship than her marriage to Apollo, Kandi burst out laughing. Kandi said that she couldn’t take it anymore and walked away from Phaedra.

In her confessional interview, Kandi outright accused Phaedra of being with someone else during her marriage to Apollo.

“Now I know my name is Kandi but it ain’t chocolate okay and you know you had chocolate melted in your mouth and not in your hands honey!”

Ever since Apollo Nida reported to prison in September 2014, Phaedra has said, both on the show and in numerous media interviews, that she’s waiting for their divorce to be finalized before starting to date. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, during Phaedra’s appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live last week, Phaedra confirmed that she and Apollo were finally divorced. As for whether she’s now dating, Phaedra coyly responded, “Hopefully so.”

Apollo himself is already engaged to someone else. He and Sherien Almufti, a realtor from Philadelphia, went public with their engagement in November. As the Inquisitr reported, Sherien said last week in a media interview that she was first friends with Apollo and then the relationship turned romantic after he began his prison sentence.

A preview for next week’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta episode shows Porsha Williams getting involved in Kandi Burruss’ drama with Phaedra Park. In one scene, Porsha reacts with shock when co-star Sheree Whitfield tells her about Kandi’s claim that Phaedra was dating other people even before Apollo went to jail.

“What! That’s a serious freakin’ blow okay?”

In another scene, Porsha and Sheree listen to Kandi as Kandi yells that Phaedra needs to stop “dragging” her. Perhaps viewers will see Porsha sticking up for Phaedra and lashing out at Kandi on Phaedra’s behalf?
