EXO’s 2016 – A year in review
With this For Life album, EXO caps off a really great year for their music. Their song “Monster” is the only song by a K-Pop act to be featured on Fuse ‘s Best Songs Of 2016 list.
The staff over at Fuse described “Monster” as a track with a “dark, hip-hop sound [that] pulls the listener in.” They also complimented the song’s chorus with its “staccato-notes and ad-libs,” and called the song overall, “pop perfection.”
The nine-member band were also the first K-Pop act to appear on the cover of L’Uomo Vogue this year. As Yibada reports, the magazine story about the boys credits them for their widespread appeal and their potential to break into the U.S. market.
