Sleigh Bells Ring: Synopsis of Hallmark Movie
Laurel Bishop, the Parks and Recreation director for Mission City, has just been promoted to City Manager. Now, she has a ton of work to do in addition to caring for her lovely daughter. Although it is a lofty position, she must work hard to earn this new title. Laurel can do it by organizing the annual Christmas parade. After Mission City’s mayor puts her in charge, the pressure is on to make this year’s event unforgettable. Just when she’s having a hard time coming up with ideas, Laurel spots an old sleigh in an elderly gentleman’s front yard.
It’s a must have so she decides to ask the old man for it. Now, with the second-hand sleigh in hand, Laurel needs to fix it up. To do it, she needs some help, and help comes her way after she bumps into her old boyfriend, Alex, from college. Not only is he handsome, but he’s got the skills to restore this timeless sleigh back to life.
With only two weeks left before the parade begins, Laurel and Alex work feverishly to get the sleigh ready. But the sleigh has a mind of its own. First, it breaks mysteriously, and then it disappears before magically reappearing. Their only hope is to rebuild the sleigh and keep it in one piece before it makes its debut on Santa’s float for the Christmas parade.

Meanwhile, sparks begin to fly as Laurel and Alex work into the night at Audrey’s Antiques. It is there that memories of precious moments they shared in the past begin creeping up and before long, old feelings of love renew. But, Laurel can’t let herself fall too hard. After all, Alex is leaving soon to accept that promotion in New York City, and she has no time for a long distance relationship.
Then disaster happens: the sleigh disappears one more time, and Alex decides to sneak out of town to avoid saying goodbye to his true love, Laurel. However, he has a change of heart when he miraculously finds the sleigh on the side of the road. Determined to help Laurel achieve success and make the mayor proud, he drags the old thing back to Mission City, where he saves the parade and their chance at love the second time around.
