Jenelle Evans On Amber Portwood Quitting ‘Teen Mom’: ‘I’m Going Through The Same Thing’
Jenelle Evans just wrapped another season of Teen Mom 2, and the new season will start airing on MTV this January. And while many fans are excited about this new season of the show, it sounds like things are not going great behind the scenes. This week, Amber Portwood announced that she would be leaving Teen Mom OG because she didn’t feel Farrah Abraham had been talked to about what happened during the reunion special and that the network hadn’t taken any action. Amber was disappointed, and she hinted she wanted to leave the show.
According to a new tweet, Jenelle Evans revealed that she’s going through the same thing as Amber when it comes to being unhappy with MTV and the producers. While Evans didn’t explain her situation, it is possible that she’s upset with the producers over having Farrah Abraham on the show, even though Jenelle and Farrah film two different shows. However, they are linked because they are in the same franchise.
“Nothing has been dealt with or has made me feel any safer to even move on with people who have continuously hidden things from the network,” Amber Portwood tweeted to her followers about her decision to publicly announce that she is leaving Teen Mom OG behind thanks to Farrah Abraham’s behavior.

And it sounds like several people agree with her because they were disgusted with the way things went down during the Teen Mom OG reunion. During the reunion, Farrah and her boyfriend, Simon Saran, stated that Amber’s boyfriend looked like a pedophile, and she was furious. Portwood stormed the stage, but the producers and Dr. Drew didn’t do much about Abraham making these false accusations. And this infuriated both Amber and the other Teen Mom girls, who ended up walking off the reunion special.
“The show won’t be the same anymore but your respect is much more important! They’ll regret it. Wishing you the best!!” one person wrote in response to Amber, while another added, “Farrah is the issue. She’s a disgrace to the Teen mom franchise, a disgrace to all mom’s and women in general.”
Interestingly, Jenelle Evans hasn’t really talked about the Teen Mom OG stars until Amber pointed out that she was leaving the show. And when Evans learned the news, she decided to write that she was dealing with the same issues as Portwood, hinting that she was having the similar problems with producers and MTV.
“Wow that’s funny… I’m going through the same thing with them right now lol,” Jenelle Evans replied to the conversation, sharing that she was having some issues with the show as well and was possibly thinking about quitting.

Of course, Jenelle may have been upset with producers because of the way she’s been portrayed in the past. She has often talked about starting her own show because she didn’t feel that the producers were portraying her positively. For a brief moment, Evans filmed her own show via YouTube, but it took her a while to come up with episodes. And maybe MTV played a role in stopping her own show so she didn’t share too much about her own life. These days, Evans is just getting ready for Christmas, and she’s excited about doing nothing for her birthday.
“I haven’t even been Christmas shopping yet and next week I just realized is my birthday. Bad timing this month for everything,” Jenelle Evans also revealed on Twitter, adding about her birthday, “Dec. 19th, not like I’m doing anything cuz I’m preggo but I almost completely skipped past it and forgot lol.”
What do you think about Jenelle Evans making Amber’s situation all about herself and the problems she’s having with MTV producers these days?
