Phaedra Parks Dating: Will Her Own Dating App Help Her Find Love?
Phaedra Parks may have been working on her law firm and raising her two children over the past year, but Parks has been busy behind closed doors. Phaedra understands that being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta has great potential for a booming business idea. While her fitness DVD may not have earned her millions of dollars. Parks may have an idea that could give her some extra money in the bank. Phaedra and Porsha Williams have been working on a new dating app that’s designed to be used by busy business people, who don’t have time to sit and browse through dating candidates.
According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing that the app will be ready next year and she’s excited about launching the product. And it sounds like Phaedra has developed an app that she would use herself, as she wants it to be a serious dating app for professionals who are busy with their careers. Plus, this app is all about finding long-term relationships, not just a quick one-night stand. She recently sat down with Page Six to talk about this new dating app that she’s launching with Porsha Williams.

“[Porsha] and I are both single, and we want to be able to use not just our personal resources, but the world wide web to find possible solutions for single women,” Phaedra explained to Page Six about her new business idea, and it sounds like she really wants to create an app for people who are dedicated to finding everlasting love.
“We want ours to be centered on people who really want to be in committed relationships. It’s not even going to be available for people who are under 25, because we feel like if you’re under 25, you’re probably not really focused on committed, serious relationships,” Phaedra Parks explains about her app, adding, “We want people that are interested in lifelong commitments, not just hookups.”
Parks actually called her app the “anti-Tinder,” as it doesn’t have the same purpose and goals as Tinder. But it will be interesting to see how this app will compete on the market, as there are many other dating apps and services available. Parks’ app will launch in 2017, and they are actually planning on having meet-ups around the country so people can meet in person – and in a safe environment. Phaedra Parks hopes to make the app available outside of Atlanta, including in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
“I come into contact with so many women who want to be married, and men, who want to be married and have children, but if you are a professional and have a strong work ethic, you don’t have a lot of time to meander through the city looking for the one,” Phaedra Parks explains about her motivation behind the app, according to Bravo, adding, “I think our dating app is going to help you sift through the weeds to find a flower.”

Parks recently got divorced from Apollo Nida and she has started thinking about dating again. Porsha divorced Kordell Stewart a few years ago and she’s been thinking about starting a family with an ex-boyfriend. It is possible that these two will use their own app if they both end up single again, but right now it sounds like they may be thinking about this project as a business rather than a tool to find love.
