Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill Split Over Drake? ‘They Fight Over Trivial Stuff,’ Claims Source [Rumors]

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill sparked breakup rumors recently after both seemingly slammed each other on Instagram earlier this month, and fans are now speculating that the couple’s drama and a potential split could have had something to do with Drake.

Fans were quick to speculate that after years of feud drama with Mill, Drake could be causing yet more problems for Nicki and Meek after allegedly sending the “Pound The Alarm” singer a friendly text to celebrate her birthday amid claims he was looking to start dating Minaj after splitting with Rihanna earlier this year.

Hollywood Life reported that Drake allegedly “sent [Nicki] a few texts, wishing her a happy birthday” on December 8, only for Minaj and Mill to hint at relationship drama and a potential breakup just days later despite the insider claiming Minaj did not respond to Drake’s supposed attempts to contact her.

Nicki was first to allude to a breakup on Instagram after posting a text that read, “Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth,” to her account on December 10.

Minaj then continued to hint at a split in another pretty telling post uploaded to the photo sharing site, borrowing lyrics from Beyoncé’s 2011 single “Best Thing I Never Had,” in which she suggested Meek “blew it” amid the breakup claims.

“Thank God u BLUE it. Thank God I dodged the bullet. I’m so over u. Baby good lookin out,” Nicki captioned the photo of blue Chanel slides, which sent the rumor mill into overdrive speculating on whether Minaj and Mill had split after around two years together.

Urban Islandz then went on seemingly to confirm Minaj and Meek’s breakup, but did not reveal if Drake’s alleged interaction with Minaj played a part in the supposed split, as the site reported that Nicki and Meek allegedly got into “a fight” that was reportedly so bitter that Mill bailed out of a vacation with the rapper to Turks and Caicos.

“They did have a fight and he was supposed to come down to the Caribbean but didn’t,” a source revealed to the site, seemingly confirming a breakup between Minaj and Mill.

However, if the breakup claims are to be believed, it sounds like Minaj and Mill likely won’t be apart for long.

“This is just really become the norm for them, so just give them a couple of days they will be back on [Instagram] stunting,” the insider said of Nicki and Meek’s supposed split that followed their reported fight. “I don’t think anyone really believes that they will be broken up for long.”

But while Urban Islandz’s source is claiming that Meek and Minaj have in fact split, Hollywood Life is refuting the breakup claims.

Rather than Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj’s Instagram drama being the sign of a breakup, a source close to the couple denied a split to the site, claiming that while Nicki and Meek do fight, they have no plans to go their separate ways.

“The truth is, if Nicki and Meek were going to break up, they would have a long time ago,” the site’s Nicki source revealed amid the breakup rumors, which have run wild around the couple in recent weeks following Nicki’s cryptic Instagram posts and Drake allegedly texting Minaj on her birthday.

“There’s a lot of love between them,” continued the source amid reports suggesting that Drake could have caused further drama for Minaj and Mill amid the split claims. “Nicki’s stood by him through his darkest hours and despite their up-and-down relationship, she doesn’t intend on leaving him.”

But while the site’s insider source is refuting the Nicki and Meek breakup rumors, the insider did admit that the couple does fight over “trivial” things, which could potentially include Drake’s supposed text to Minaj amid Mill’s long and nasty feud with the musician.

“Nicki and Meek fight all the time about a whole bunch of trivial s***. Things that don’t really matter,” the insider told the site but did not mention Drake or the supposed drama he might have caused for the couple after his longstanding feud with Mill boiled over once again this year.

“[Meek] tends to get jealous over the fact that she’s a little more famous than him,” continued the source about Nicki and her boyfriend of two years, claiming that Mill’s supposed jealous side has caused friction with Minaj in the past.

“Nicki isn’t afraid to cuss him out when they argue, which they have been recently, but she still loves him in the end,” said the source as the breakup rumors swirl.

Nicki and Meek have not yet confirmed whether or not they split following their supposed “fight,” although it has been reported that Drake isn’t exactly Mill’s favorite person after the rapper slammed the “Take Care” singer on multiple occasions in the past, most recently calling out the musician amid claims he’s “infatuated” with Minaj.
