Will Adam Levine And Blake Shelton Return To ‘The Voice’ For Season 13?
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have been mainstays on NBC’s The Voice ever since the singing series debuted in 2011, but could Season 12 be their last?
Fans of the show have been speculating about Adam and Blake’s fate ever since it was announced that Levine and Shelton would be returning for Season 12, with Miley Cyrus so far being the only coached announced to return for Season 13, and speculation has now reached fever pitch over whether Levine and Shelton could be ready to sit out after the next cycle.
The Voice fans have been taking to social media to urge Blake and Adam to sign on the dotted line to return to the series in the second half of 2017 amid rumors that both Shelton and Levine could potentially wave bye bye to the series for at least one season.
“@NBCTheVoice What is this… no Blake or Adam for season 13? No way… I [love] Blake,” @autismio tweeted out amid speculation that Blake and Adam could potentially sit out the thirteenth round of the series, while ?@Barbjbruce1957 recently wrote on the social media site of Shelton and Levine’s potential departure, “.@blakeshelton #VoiceSemiFinals Blake I hope the rumors that is going around about you & Adam will not be on the voice for season 13!”
“I just hope that the c**p about season 13 is false,” The Voice fan @kyrs10_4d added, “because The Voice without Blake and Adam isn’t really The Voice.”
The speculation over Shelton and Levine’s fate comes shortly after sources alleged that the two veteran coaches may be retiring their revolving chairs in the second half of 2017, as an insider claimed that both Adam and Blake supposedly feel that their time may be up after 12 seasons starring on the NBC series.
Radar Online alleged earlier this year that both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton supposedly feel that, after the next round of shows, they will have “run their course” as coaches after appearing on every single season of the series together and claimed that both Levine and Shelton could allegedly be exiting stage left alongside Gwen Stefani, who will be taking over Miley Cyrus’s seat for the first half of 2017.
“Both Adam and Blake feel that they have run their course as judges,” an insider alleged to the site earlier this year of Shelton and Levine potentially quitting the series, while also claiming that neither Shelton nor Levine want to return to sit alongside Cyrus amid accusations that the group have supposedly been caught up in a nasty feud for the past several months.
But while the fate of Shelton and Levine appears to still be up in the air, Cyrus is making it pretty clear that she will be back in her red spinning chair next year with or without Adam and Blake after the former Hannah Montana star took to social media to confirm that she will in fact be back next year, despite rumors alleging she could be joining The Voice Australia in 2017.
Miley had nothing but praise for her both Levine and Shelton and fellow new coach Alicia Keys in a photo posted to Instagram following Sundance Head’s victory on Season 11 of The Voice, dispelling rampant reports of a feud by calling Adam, Blake, Alicia, and herself “one big happy [The Voice] family.”
“One big happy @nbcthevoice family!” Miley captioned the photo of herself and her The Voice co-stars, despite Cyrus being replaced by Gwen for the upcoming 12th season of The Voice, set to debut in 2017.
“Can’t wait to be back for season 13!!!! What AWESOME artists do you think will be on #TeamMiley the next time around!?!?!” Miley continued in the photo’s caption, which showed her hugging Levine amid claims she and Adam have been butting heads on the set for the past several months. “I can’t wait to find out!”
