Kanye West is back home in L.A. after meeting up with President-elect Donald Trump earlier this week, and the only question now is whether he will spill the beans about their meeting.
West met Donald Trump on Tuesday in New York but it is not clear what they talked about. Sources claim that the hip hop producer traveled back to L.A. from the Big Apple on Wednesday. There are claims that upon his arrival, Kanye went to spend time with his wife Kim Kardashian and their children North and Saint at their home in Bel Air. There has been a lot of questions as to what West and Trump talked about during their meeting and a lot of people are curious as to whether he will reveal the subject of discussion.West was seen out and about in New York on Monday and he was rocking a blond hair style. He was accompanied by Kris Jenner's main squeeze Corey Gamble while hunting for an apartment. The two were seen the following day together with their entourage as they entered Trump Tower where they met Trump.
"We've been friends for a long time," said Trump right before West left after their meeting.
Kanye later posted a tweet in which he revealed that he discussed multicultural issues with the president-elect. Some of those issues include the violence in Chicago, bullying, and modernizing curriculum. The 39-year-old stressed that it is vital to have a direct line of communication with the future president if change is truly expected.
"Trump is the president, you know what I mean? We're gonna have to talk with him, deal with him, build with him," West noted.
Kanye's New York visit to see Trump comes just two weeks after his release from hospital. He had been admitted for a week after having a mental breakdown. It is interesting to see that West is back to his normal busy life despite being advised to have a lot of rest. It is also good to see that he is out and about looking happy and healthy.
West's return to social media created quite a buzz and there was a lot of chatter on Twitter about his meeting with Trump. Of course, trolls took the opportunity to make a mockery of their meeting. West's blond hair style also received a fair share of fame on Twitter. A lot of people questioned the meeting between Trump and Kanye, and one of those people who criticized it was West's close friend and fellow artist John Legend. He told Clique TV that he did not see it being possible to talk to Trump about issues. He further added his thoughts about the meeting, describing it as a publicity stunt.Legend is a close friend to West and therefore his criticism comes as a bit of a shock. Legend and his wife were very supportive of Kanye when he suffered a mental breakdown. Legend was also a strong supporter of Trump's rival Hillary Clinton during her presidential campaign. Legend also expressed his disappointment in Kanye's claim that he would have voted for Trump. It is not yet clear what the difference in opinions means for the two artists.
A lot of people share the same thoughts that the meeting between Mr. West and the president-elect was a publicity stunt. Then again, West tends to pull a lot of publicity stunts. From the looks of things, West has recovered and is back in the spotlight being a constant source of controversy. Now that Kanye is back in L.A. after his meeting with Trump, it will be interesting to see what he will do next to attract more attention.[Featured Image by Seth Wenig/AP Images]
