Rachel McAdams’s Acting Career Alternative, And The One Thing Benedict Cumberbatch Doesn’t Like About His Fans

Rachel McAdams is a hugely successful actor, but it turns out that her career alternative is a world away from the glamor of the red carpet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rachel McAdams’s sister, who also doubles as her personal makeup artist, revealed that McAdams would have a go at being a farmer if her acting career started to plummet.

In other news, Rachel McAdams says Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t like his fans calling themselves “Cumberb*tches,” according to People magazine. The 37-year-old actress stars alongside Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange, so she has learned some juicy details about the Sherlock actor.

Cumberbatch’s fans came up with a name for themselves, and are now calling themselves “Cumberb*tches.” But the Sherlock star is apparently not very enthusiastic about that name, Rachel McAdams revealed.

When Rachel McAdams sat down to chat with Ellen DeGeneres during her daytime talk show, she couldn’t help but say a few things about her Doctor Strange co-star. Thousands of girls around the world are swooning over the handsome Cumberbatch, but the actor himself thinks his fanbase should have more self-respect.

“He said, ‘Oh, it’s very flattering, but I just wish they called themselves something a little more respectable like Cumberhumans, Cumberpeople or something.'”

But DeGeneres quickly explained to Rachel McAdams why her co-star’s fans picked that name for themselves. It all has to do with the “batch” part, DeGeneres insists.

Rachel McAdams’s comments come as no surprise, as Cumberbatch himself said in his interview with Vanity Fair that he doesn’t quite get why his fans are so enthusiastic about his looks.

“I don’t look at myself in the mirror and go, ‘Yeah, absolutely! I see what they’re saying!’ I see all my faults and everything that I’ve always seen as my faults.”

Rachel McAdams looked as glamorous as ever when she showed up at the London premiere of Doctor Strange, according to ET Online. The actress, who stars in the film alongside Cumberbatch, opted for a stunning one-shoulder Elie Saab Couture gown.

Rachel McAdams’ floor-length sheer gown made heads turn for all the right reasons, as the actress flashed lots of skin. The actress, who complemented her look with a sleek ponytail, posed for photos with Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton.

Rachel McAdams also recently made headlines by wearing a fabulous fitted champagne Versace gown in Los Angeles. It sure looks that thanks to her dresses, the actress has already given enough attention to Doctor Strange, which hit theaters a month ago.

Rachel McAdams has recently revealed that she wouldn’t mind taking part in a Mean Girls reunion, according to E! Online. Although it’s been over a decade since Mean Girls was released, fans of the film still cannot help but wonder if they will ever see a reunion.

And apparently, Mean Girls fans can count Rachel McAdams in! During her interview with E! Online, the True Detective actress said she would be very much interested in reuniting with Tina Fey and the rest of the girls.

“I mean, to get to kind of have a reunion would be… we got to have a reunion at a photo shoot a couple of years ago and it was over like that and it wasn’t enough. I was back in it.”

When asked if she thinks her Mean Girls character Regina would be a mother by now, Rachel McAdams is confident about one thing: that Regina has probably “had a few” already. And the actress thinks it would be the kind of babies that “plot your demise in the womb.”

Earlier this year, the Mean Girls musical was announced, with the premiere date scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. It’s as yet unclear when and where exactly the highly-anticipated musical will be held, but one thing is sure: Rachel McAdams is excited about it.

In the original film, Rachel McAdams starred alongside Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Lindsay Lohan, and Lacey Chabert. The film was adapted from Rosalind Wiseman’s novel.
