‘Teen Mom OG’ Dad Ryan Edwards Is Engaged
Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards is engaged. Maci Bookout’s ex-boyfriend, who is the father to little Bentley, is now planning a wedding to his girlfriend, Mackenzie Standifer. Ryan announced the big wedding news on Thursday and posted a photo of Mackenzie’s huge diamond engagement ring on his Instagram page.
He captioned the snapshot, “Getting married.”
According to the Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer haven’t announced any major details about the engagement, except for the fact that it seemingly happened at a Waffle House. The proposal was likely filmed by Teen Mom OG cameras and will probably be seen in the upcoming season of the MTV reality series. Meanwhile, this marks the second engagement for Edwards, who was previously engaged to baby mama Maci Bookout.
Mackenzie, who has been dating Ryan for less than a year, has lived with the reality TV star for months. In fact, the two got serious rather quickly. However, Ryan’s family seems to like her, and so does Maci Bookout. In a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci and her husband, Taylor McKinney, invited Ryan and Mackenzie to their home for a barbecue with their son, Bentley. The two couples got along very well, ate together, and even told funny stories, which Bentley seemed to really enjoy.
Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer were even invited to Maci and Taylor’s wedding, where Standifer appropriately caught the bouquet. Mackenzie also appeared on the latest Teen Mom reunion show, where she talked about how important it was for Ryan to mend fences with his father, Larry, over the course of the season, a subject that had Edwards tearing up on stage and shocking fans with his public display of emotion.
As for Mackenzie’s skills with Bentley, they should be on point. The report reveals that Standifer is the mother of a little boy herself. Her son, whose name is Hudson, is said to get along extremely well with his soon-to-be step-father, and Mackenzie recently took to her own Instagram page to gush over the bond the two men in her life have.
“Every single mom’s biggest fear is that someone won’t love on your baby like you can… That someone won’t be there for your baby like you are… That they’ll run for the hills when they see just how crazy our life is… But it’s little moments like this that put all those fears to rest,” she captioned a photo of Ryan and Hudson napping together.”
Meanwhile, it seems that Mackenzie also feels the same way about Ryan’s son, Bentley. She and the Teen Mom dad recently took both of their boys to visit Santa, and Standifer revealed that she loves her “boys” so much.
Ryan Edwards is the latest person in the Teen Mom family to get engaged. Currently, Adam Lind is engaged to his girlfriend Stasia Huber, Jeremy Calvert is engaged to Brooke Wehr, Jo Rivera is engaged to Vee Torres, Amber Portwood is engaged to Matt Baier, and Farrah Abraham‘s mother, Debra Danielson, is also planning a wedding. If the two shows in the franchise continue to go on, it looks like fans will be seeing plenty weddings in the near future.
Perhaps Teen Mom OG fans have finally seen Ryan Edwards mature, find the women he’s supposed to settle down with, and turn into the family man and involved dad that Maci Bookout always hoped he would be. Viewers are now excited to see what the new season of the show will bring after the big engagement announcement.
