Ariana Madix And Tom Sandoval On Scheana Shay’s Divorce, Lala Kent’s Departure, And Katie Maloney And Tom Schwartz’s Crazy Wedding Parties

A day after the latest Vanderpump Rules episode aired on Tuesday night, two of its stars, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, did a Facebook Live interview video with Hollywood Life. During the interview, the couple talked about a wide range of topics regarding the show and its cast, including Scheana Shay’s divorce from Mike Say, Scheana joining the other women in bullying Lala Kent and Lala’s announcement that she’s leaving the show. Ariana and Tom also gave a preview of what viewers can expect to see as the season progresses, revealing that Katie Maloney’s bachelorette and Tom Schwartz’s bachelor parties were out-of-control.

On the current season, Lala has been ostracized by most of the cast members. Katie, Scheana, Kristen Doute, and Stassi Schroeder have all made it clear that they don’t want to be friends with her. Ariana, along with Tom, has refused to go along with the others in excluding and being mean to Lala. On the latest episode, Tom and Ariana were even shown having a lunch date with Lala.

One reason why the other cast members, in particular the women, have ostracized Lala is their belief that she’s dating a married man to fund her lavish lifestyle and denial of it. When asked about the rumor that Lala’s dating a married man, Ariana said that she doesn’t know who Lala’s dating.

“I never really knew who Lala was dating. I still don’t know who Lala’s dating. Um, I love that girl but she keeps secrets, I guess, or she’s just not an open person and, you know, I didn’t think it was a make or break thing in our friendship. It didn’t hurt my feelings that I didn’t know who she was dating, but yeah, I still don’t know and I don’t know if ever will.”

Both Tom and Ariana agreed that the other cast members shouldn’t be giving Lala a hard time over her refusal to identify her boyfriend. Ariana pointed out that the other women weren’t even friends with Lala so why would Lala want to open up to them.

“It’s annoying. It’s none of their business…it just got a little bit too excessive, considering that they didn’t really have a personal relationship with her so for them to want to know personal things about her life, didn’t make sense to me.”

Tom did, however, point out that being on Vanderpump Rules pretty much requires the cast members to be an open book regarding their lives and perhaps that’s one of the reasons why Lala, not willing to do that, chose to leave the show.

As the Inquisitr reported, Lala explained in an interview last week exactly why she’s keeping her boyfriend a secret.

Regarding Lala’s announcement that she’s leaving Vanderpump Rules, Tom admitted that he’s confused about it because he heard just a week ago that she was interested in returning for another season. Both Tom and Ariana pointed out that Lala can change her mind between now and when the next season starts filming.

The interviewer then pointed out that Scheana Shay has been one of the people going the hardest at Lala Kent for supposedly dating a married man, which is ironic since she herself dating a married man, actor Eddie Cibrian, now the ex-husband of former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville and current husband of singer LeAnn Rimes, years ago. Ariana gave her opinion that Scheana went after Lala, and continues to do so, to gain the approval of Katie Maloney. Ariana also doesn’t think that Scheana realized that her bullying Lala for dating a married man would prompt others to bring up the fact that she herself dated a married man.

“Yeah like 10 years ago she [Scheana] had a relationship with him [Eddie]…she’s doing it in order to gain Katie’s approval…she just didn’t think about the fact that people would bring that up.”

Tom, giving Scheana a bit of a dig, pointed out that Lala’s not giving interviews about how she’s dating or dated a married man, unlike Scheana.

“I thought about it immediately and I actually went back and looked at like Scheana’s interviews about that s**t…it’s one thing if Lala is or isn’t dating a married man but she’s not like going to tabloids talking about it, that’s what Scheana did. That’s bad!”

As the Inquisitr reported, Scheana has, in recent days, been slammed by viewers for bullying Lala considering her own dating history. One tweet that Scheana sent, in particular, resulted in a lot of vitriol towards her.

Speaking of Scheana Shay, both Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix expressed sadness over the fact that Scheana and Mike Shay are now getting divorced. Ariana admitted that she had “a good cry” about it when she heard the news. Both Tom and Ariana gave their opinion that Scheana and Mike should first try to get therapy and perhaps test out legal separation before going through with a divorce.

Ariana and Tom also teased that viewers may see some footage regarding Scheana and Mike’s split, despite the fact that it happened after filming for Season 5 ended. Ariana said that she thinks that producers may have had Scheana film some post-split footage to add on to the end of the season.

One thing viewers will definitely see as Vanderpump Rules season 5 progresses is Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s wedding and the preparations and festivities leading up to it. Ariana Madix said that the bachelor and bachelorette parties were “nuts” and crazy.”

“Oh my god. You guys, the bachelor, bachelorette parties is going to be, I’m telling you, it’s nuts! Yes, yes, by far [more wild than Scheana’s]! Crazy!”

Tom Sandoval had an even more colorful description for what went down.

“It’s just freakin’ crazy! It’s frog in a blender crazy.”
