‘Pretty Little Liars’ Trailer Teases The End, While An Interactive App Starts The A Game All Over Again [Video]

Pretty Little Liars is gearing up to head into the last half of its seventh and final season, offering a new teaser that seems to imply all bets are off and anything may happen before the end. PLL fans are already dreading these last 10 episodes, knowing that no one is safe, no relationship is protected, and no one’s future is safe from the evil antics of A.D. and the latest Pretty Little Liars teaser only seems to reinforce that idea of ultimate peril for Hanna, Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Alison.

US Weekly shares the latest teaser for the final 10 episodes of Pretty Little Liars and the 30-second glimpse at what is to come in the last installments of the series suggests there will be no holds barred. Considering all that happens in this teaser, the last PLL episodes may be the most action-packed sequences to date, giving the series a chance to truly go out with a bang.

For a 30-second teaser, the Pretty Little Liars team packed quite a bit into the video, giving fans much to ponder over, until the show’s April return. To begin, there’s the question of Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok), who has been an on-again, off-again threat throughout the entire run of the series. This new teaser pits Jenna against Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), but without giving any dialogue or context, so it’s difficult to know where she fits into this final chapter.

The teaser is as shocking for what is not in it as it is for what we have seen in those 30 seconds. Specifically, Toby (Keegan Allen) is nowhere to be seen, leaving Pretty Little Liars fans to theorize as to whether he and Yvonne survived the car crash at the end of the mid-season finale.

This, of course, leads to Spencer (Troian Bellisario), who sounds both devastated and angry, though it’s not revealed who has earned her ire. We only know that she feels as though she has lost everything in her life and that can be a pretty desolate feeling. It can also be a motive for murder.

Betrayal has always been a part of Pretty Little Liars and Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) have seen their fair share of drama, but the look on Ezra’s face in this PLL teaser make it seem as though he has just been emotionally blindsided in a way so destructive that he and Aria may never find their way back.

Ultimately, whether you’re following Pretty Little Liars for the relationships or the mystery, there comes a time when we all must know one thing for certain. Who is A.D. After seven seasons, Pretty Little Liars owes us a plausible answer to that question and one incredibly wild motive.

Variety reports that Episodes is offering a Pretty Little Liars theme with a story that takes place during season one of the television series, though it isn’t a retelling of those story arcs. The PLL edition of the app includes Aria, Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and the mysterious “A,” telling a completely new story and letting the user choose the course of action.

The Pretty Little Liars edition of Episode will unfold differently for each user, depending on the choices that person makes through the course of the game.

The Pretty Little Liars app game was developed in conjunction with the show’s own creative team, so PLL fans can expect an authentic story in the Episode app.

Launched in 2014 by Pocket Gems, Episode has told 2.25 billion episodes to date across 37,000 stories. Episode is available in the various app stores for Apple and Android products.
