Ellie Goulding Splits Up With Her Boyfriend Skrillex
Singer Ellie Goulding has reportedly split up from her boyfriend of nine months, the musician Skrillex after nine months together.
Goulding had previously been dating the British DJ for Radio 1 Greg James before she started courting Skrillex. It is believed that the reason for their relationship’s demise is due to the extremely long distance between the pair, as Skrillex is based in Los Angeles and Gouldling resides in London.
Ellie has also recently bee promoting her new album entitled Halcyon whilst Skrillex, whose real name is Sonny Moore is hard at work on his material in America.
A source told The Sun newspaper, “It’s really sad, they were really good for each other. They just couldn’t make it work. They both have successful careers and live in different countries.”
Goulding and Skrillex met after he recruited her to provide vocals on his track Summit, with the singer recently even discussing how she would like to record an entire album with her now ex-boyfriend : “I think in an ideal world we’d love to make a whole record together … but it just so happens that we’re both ridiculously busy. When it comes to music, it honestly is really professional. Honestly.”
Skrillex is also set to record all of the music for Disney’s new film, Wreck-It-Ralph, with the uniquely hair-styled songwriter also due to make a cameo appearance, alongside retro nintendo stars Bowser and Pac-Man, in the animated feature film, which features the vocal talents of John C. Reilly, Jak McBrayer and Sarah Silverman.
