‘Days Of Our Lives’: Abigail Devereaux’s Decision And Downfall – Marci Miller On Motivating Factors And Abby’s Fears On ‘DOOL’ [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans have been waiting for weeks for Abigail Devereaux (Marci Miller) to reveal to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that she is alive. According to the latest spoilers, that time might be this week. However, it isn’t going to be easy for her, especially since she has a lot of explaining to do. Recently, Marci Miller discussed the storyline, Abby’s motivating factor in her decision, and why she is so scared to let Chad know she is alive.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Abigail Devereaux has been hiding in Jennifer Horton’s (Melissa Reeves) attic. When she isn’t there, then the troubled woman is out in Salem spying on Chad and Gabi (Camila Banus). Jennifer and her son, JJ Devereaux (Casey Moss), have been trying to convince Abby to face Chad DiMera on Days Of Our Lives. Even Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) is certain that she should come forward. However, Abigail insists that nobody can ever know that she is really alive. It seems that something happens this week that changes her mind.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Marci Miller explained what has caused Abigail to finally decide to meet with Chad. Instead of being focused on her herself or Chad, she is thinking about baby Thomas. In fact, her son is a major reason why Abby is choosing to reveal herself.

“Abigail has a realization that, regardless of what happened with her and Chad, she owes it to Thomas to let him know that she is living and wants to be a part of his life.”

Just when Abby decides to reveal herself to Chad on Days Of Our Lives, she ends up taking another step back. The magazine revealed that Chad meets with Father Louis to discuss Abigail’s memorial. Even though Jennifer tried to convince him otherwise, he is going ahead with the plans. Chad wants to move on with his life, and it makes Abby realize the damage her actions have caused. She put him through so much, and by remaining in hiding, is continuing to do so.

“It solidifies the fact that Abigail has put Chad through a lot, and that he’s not still grieving. The fact that he has moved on presents a lot of different variables. Abigail fears that Chad may feel betrayed by her, and that she’ll have to talk about where she’s been all this time, and why she didn’t come forward sooner.”

Instead of facing the music and just focusing on having a relationship with her son, Abigail takes a turn for the worse. Overwhelmed, she runs away and ends up in an alley. Then, she has a panic attack.

It is unclear if Chad will finally find out Abigail is alive this week. NBC released a preview clip, which showed Abigail witnessing Chad and Gabi standing close to one another. They finally see one another up close, but does this really happen or is it Abby’s imagination running wild? Although Chad and Gabi do have a connection on Days Of Our Lives, Camila Banus’ character is trying to do the right thing. She is in a relationship with JJ and wants to avoid complications. She also isn’t interested in a rebound romance that might endanger their friendship if things don’t work out.
