Apollo Nida Engagement: Why Fans Are Shocked To See New Photos Of Him

Apollo Nida surprised everyone a few weeks ago when he announced that he had gotten engaged to a woman while serving time behind bars. Apollo spent two years behind bars after he was charged and sentenced to eight years for identity theft and fraud. Since then, Phaedra Parks has been working on getting divorced, but she has put herself and her two sons at the top of her priority list — not the wishes of Apollo. But while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Parks revealed that the reason why she hadn’t gotten divorced is because Apollo kept changing his mind.

According to a new tweet, Apollo Nida is now making it known to the world that he has moved on from Phaedra. A few weeks ago, he announced his engagement to a new woman, and they recently posed for pictures within the prison to celebrate their engagement. TMZ shared the picture in an article, revealing that Bravo had kept his new girlfriend’s identity a secret because it will be part of the show later this season.

And while Apollo Nida looks very happy in his new relationship, it sounds like fans are shocked at how he looks. Since he is the face of his own fitness business and keeps sharing pictures on Instagram of his fitness products, it sounds like fans expected him to be jacked and fit. Instead, it looks like he hasn’t really worked out and he let his hair grow out, making him look a lot different. One person even pointed out that he was looking like an older version of rapper The Weeknd.

“Is it just me or is Apollo not looking so good? I expected him to be jacked,” one person wrote after reading the article about Apollo’s engagement, while another person added, “He’s looking a little rough round the edges.”

Apollo is serving his sentence at Fort Dix, the same prison where Joe Giudice is currently serving over three years of his sentence. And while Joe has supposedly lost over 30 pounds, Nida hasn’t really lost any weight. And he even has a fitness business to market while he’s in prison. One can imagine that Phaedra isn’t helping him with his fitness business. Instead, Apollo may ask his future wife to help him market his products and keep his business alive while he’s finishing up his sentence.

“Divorce discussions are never comfortable and this one was no exception. Although the bomb threat was looming, I did not want to cancel the visit so I met with him in hopes of resolving any unsettled issues,” Phaedra revealed about her divorce from Apollo Nida, according to Bravo, sharing that not even the bomb threat in Atlanta changed her mind about visiting Nida in prison to get him to sign the divorce papers.

“When I received the call regarding the bomb threat, I was terrified and felt hopeless because I was so far from home. Everybody knows my first priority is not only to protect my children and family but also my employees. I immediately began to strategize how I could best do that from another state. I was thankful that my mother was with my sons and LaToya, my office manager, was calm and collected,” Parks revealed about the bomb threat, sharing that she was sitting right outside of Fort Dix, where Apollo Nida is spending his time, according to Bravo.
