In a new Q&A conducted on Reddit, Passengers star Chris Pratt opened himself up to a barrage of personal questions and proving himself a gracious subject while on the hot seat, Pratt spared no detail in speaking about his private life. Among the inquiries made to Chris, it seemed many of Pratt’s fans were more interested in his thoughts and stories on wife Anna Faris and their son, 4-year-old Jack. While many celebrities might maneuver away from such personal questions with humor or misdirection, the Passengers actor was refreshingly open and honest.
Chris Pratt Was Asked To Choose Between Anna Faris And Anna Faris
People reveals that Chris Pratt’s fans learned more about his personal life than his upcoming film, Passengers , when the star recently hosted an “Ask Me Anything” Reddit Q&A session. Among the most pressing questions, fans wanted to know if Pratt’s son, Jack, was interested in the work he and wife, Anna Faris, do as actors, but, even though Jack is just 4, he already seems to have very strong opinions against acting in general.
“He knows i’m an actor,” the Passengers star responded.
“But he thinks it’s kind of stupid. haha! I suppose he’s right!!!”
Later, questions focused on Anna, especially when Chris was asked to name his favorite actress and he unsurprisingly named Faris. From there, one Reddit user asked Pratt to choose between “Anna Faris from Scary Movie or Anna Faris from The House Bunny ?”
“Wow. that’s a good question,” Chris wrote in response.
“Like a kiss marry kill thing? trick question. I’d marry and kiss them all. And I did!!!”
Mr. Pratt was also asked to compare himself to his Parks and Recreation character, Andy Dwyer, and, in response, Chris explained that the character represents just one aspect of his overall personality. He added that he’s played many roles and each part encompasses one or a few aspects of his whole persona. Thinking of Parks and Recreation , Pratt, who has moved away from television to concentrate on a film career, told Reddit users that he misses the cast and crew of that beloved series, suggesting that many of the actors were good friends with whom Pratt has lost touch.
Passengers Star Jennifer Lawrence Blames Chris Pratt For Her “Girly Scream”
While filming Passengers , an accidental light bulb explosion led to Jennifer Lawrence letting out a high pitched squeal and, as Times of India reports, the attention that scream attracted was instantly deflected to Lawrence’s co-star. Not wanting to take the full brunt of humiliation, Jennifer blamed Chris Pratt for the outburst. In relating the tale, Lawrence explained that she and Pratt were sitting on the Passengers set, waiting to shoot their next scene, when a large set bulb exploded, forcing the “very feminine” scream from Jennifer.
“Then she immediately looked over at me and said, ‘Jesus Chris! You scream like a woman! Did everyone just hear Chris?’ and for the rest of the shoot I couldn’t convince anyone it wasn’t me. I just had to own it,” said Passengers ‘ Pratt.
Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence have earned fan fascination for their practical jokes and witty banter, but, in a serious moment, Pratt revealed a deep admiration for his Passengers co-star. Pratt says he finds Jen to be a very cool person, because she can be both funny and tough, but also says Lawrence is a wonderful artist when it comes to taking on a role.
“Jen is awesome,” Mr. Pratt says of Lawrence. “It feels good to be around her.”
“It feels good to be around her.”
It sounds like Anna Faris may have some competition for favorite actress in Chris Pratt’s heart!
Passengers , starring Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, and Michael Sheen, hits theaters on December 21.
