Kylie Jenner Vs Online Bullies: Keke Palmer Says She’s On Team Kylie
Scream Queens star Keke Palmer is sharing her support for Kylie Jenner. She is fighting back at the online bullies that have been bothering the reality star for a long time.
Keke Palmer is always addressing her own haters when it comes to her “The gag is…” series on Twitter, or on her own Instagram page, reports Rolling Out. She recently took to Instagram to allege that society is to blame for Kylie Jenner changing her looks for social media “likes.” Palmer included a before and after photo of Jenner, one supposedly from 2012 and the other from 2016. The 2012 photo reads, “Kylie’s so ugly! Why can’t she just grow up?” and the 2016 photo reads, “Ew, Kylie’s so fake! What happened to her?”
In a lengthy caption, Keke explained why she posted the photo and why she is showing support for Kylie.
“After Trump’s win, I really was convinced that we have become so obsessed with making things appear to be real than needing them to actually BE real. AKA: Reality TV, that’s the gag. And many social media platforms support that same thing. We have settled for knock off truth in our actual reality because it’s socially acceptable to lie for likes.”
Palmer said the reason why she posted the picture is that it caught her attention. She said that society is obsessed with reality TV in a way that we need to see fake things in real life, even when it comes to social media or the current state of the world. The Kardashians and Jenners send the message to their fans that it’s okay to change your looks to meet society’s expectations of you. However, we shouldn’t blame the Kardashians and Jenners for this because society is the one who’s to blame, according to Teen Vogue.
“We don’t even think about the fact that for years the whole world damn near agreed she was ugly,” Keke wrote.
“A CHILD, that girl was a child and she was bullied and named ugly and not as a character but as HERSELF.”
The actress ended her Instagram post on a positive note, saying that we should accept each other’s differences and embrace our own.
“If only we could accept another instead of bullying each other into change,” Keke continued.
“We wouldn’t be so confused or misunderstanding of all these mixed messages that ultimately tell us to trade attention for respect and love for possession. We could instead let our differences TEACH us something new instead of walking around looking, acting and being the same. WE DIFFERENT FOR A REASON.”

This comes after Jenner explained in her Complex cover story why she lied about get lip fillers and why she got her lips done in the first place. Jenner admitted that she got her lips done after a boy told her he wouldn’t want to kiss her on the lips. She grew up feeling insecure about her lips as a young girl.
“It has been an insecurity of mine all my life…This guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing.’ It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”
She also admits that the first time she did it, she had no concept of proportion and she went too big with them.
“When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far… It was very painful.”
However, Kylie denies getting any other kind of work done and is frustrated with the constant rumors about her alleged plastic surgery procedures. What are your thoughts on Keke Palmer’s comments about Kylie? Sound off below in the comments section.
