‘Dance Moms’ Season 7 Spoilers: Kendall Vertes Pulls A Maddie Ziegler Routine To Beat Candy Apples [PROMO]
Dance Moms Season 7 returns with an all-new episode this Tuesday, December 13, with “Return of the Rotten Apples.” According to the official synopsis and latest spoilers, Episode 3 will see the ALDC’s junior elite team compete with Candy Apples for the second week in a row. Kendall Vertes will also have to prove herself against Nicaya Wiley.
It seems like Season 7 of Dance Moms is going to focus once again on the rivalry between ALDC and Candle Apples. After competing against each other at the Fierce National Dance Competition, the two groups will now compete at the New York Dance Experience. With the fate of the minis still in the balance, Kendall Vertes, Nia Frazier, Brynn Rumfallo and Kalani Hilliker needed to prove to Abby Lee Miller that they could win competitions without the minis.
According to the spoilers site for Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 3, Kendall will perform a “Maddie-esque” solo to beat Nicaya Wiley, Black Patsy’s daughter. Nicaya was first introduced to the show in Season 2 when Abby had her try out for the elite team. She, however, soon left ALDC and joined Candy Apples Dance Company (CADC) in Season 3 and 4.
Fans saw the return of Cathy Nesbitt-Stein and her Candy Apples last episode, aptly titled “Abby’s Worst Nightmare.” Although Abby tried to play it cool, acting like Cathy did not get to her, the moms all saw how her criticisms affected her.
“Every time Cathy returns, Abby tries to pull of an ‘I don’t care’ attitude, cool as a cucumber. But when Cathy gets under your skin, that’s like a flu virus you can’t get rid of. We never can go to a competition with Cathy and have it go well,” Holly said.
True enough, Cathy said a lot of mean things to Abby, making fun of her impending criminal charges. Instead of going at it with Cathy, the ALDC coach chose to leave the competition early, in spite of the moms’ objections, which made her miss the group routine. Abby pointed out that staying would only make matters worse.
“This is my livelihood. This is what I do for a living and the words that Cathy is spewing out make me look bad. They make my studio look bad. They make everyone involved look bad.”
The CADC coach took Abby leaving as a sign of defeat, insisting that her nemesis was afraid of their comeback. Cathy also claimed that the ALDC girls had no respect for their teacher because she always put her needs above them.
“Isn’t it just like Abby to run away? She gets scared. The students that represent Candy Apples Dance Center they respect and appreciate me because I’m giving so much to them. In Abby’s world, its all about making Abby look good.”
In the end, ALDC’s lyrical routine, “We Go On” placed first place overall, beating CADC’s contemporary routine “I’m Back! I’m Your Nightmare,” which placed third overall. The Dance Moms stars were definitely thrilled with the win as the group has not placed first overall in a long time. It seems like the addition of two new dancers, Camryn Bridges and Daviana Fletcher, to the ALDC made the team better.
“It has been a while since we had a first place overall win and I think it just might be the beginning of our winning streak. Maybe even with this new version of the elite competition team,” Holly said.
Instead of congratulating the Dance Moms stars, Cathy insisted that ALDC is still the real loser, with their leader about to leave them high and dry.
“It’s not these ladies who have their leader going to jail. It’s you guys so who’s the big loser now? See you next week.”
