Andy Cohen Talks ‘Real Housewives Of Potomac’ Season 2
Will there be a Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Potomac? According to Real Housewives executive Andy Cohen, fans will definitely see a second season on Bravo. Not only is it good, it’s amazing.
On Thursday, Andy retweeted a photo of himself with two of the show’s stars, Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant. Andy commented that it was a treat to see Robyn and Gizelle and that the new season is “so amazing.”

Andy’s tweet makes it clear that Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is going to air soon. It also implies that viewers will once again see Gizelle and Robyn as two of the show’s cast members.
On Tuesday, the Washington Post threw into question whether a second season was actually going to air. According to the article, the women began filming the second season in April and finished in late summer. The cast members apparently wanted the show to follow The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the ninth season of which premiered in November, as it did or its first season.
Bravo, however, reportedly decided to push back Potomac’s premiere date because it wants to find out if the show can stand on its own without Atlanta’s help. A source told the website that the Potomac housewives are now worried about the fate of their show.
“The ladies are getting very nervous. They’re all feeling major anxiety and fearful that their show may not air. It’s definitely holding on by a string…?For right now, the ladies are on pins and needles.”
Yet a Bravo spokesperson gave assurance that viewers will indeed see a second season. The spokesperson also revealed that the second season, described as “great,” will premiere sometime in 2017.
“It was our highest rated freshman series in three years. The Potomac ladies are coming back in 2017 and fans have every reason to be excited for a great season.”
The Washington Post’s source, however, warns that the future of the show still hangs in the air.
“If it doesn’t catch on, the second season will be the last season.”
Season 1 premiered in January. Besides Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant, Season 1 starred Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Katie Rost, and Charisse Jackson Jordan.

In June, Katie revealed, via Twitter, that she won’t be returning for a second season. According to Katie, she couldn’t make her life exciting enough.
Many viewers expressed surprise that the show’s producers didn’t deem Katie exciting enough to warrant a spot on the Season 2 cast. On Season 1, Katie — a model who once dated Russell Simmons, left her former husband when she was pregnant with twins, and who is involved in the charity world — was involved in many of the show’s more dramatic moments. In particular, Katie, whose father is white and mother is black, clashed with Robyn and Gizelle after accusing them of denying that they are biracial. Katie pointed out that Robyn and Gizelle, both of whom have light hair, light skin, and green eyes, hardly looked as if they were “straight from Africa.”
Both Robyn and Gizelle denied Katie’s accusation, pointing out that black people come in all shades. As the Inquisitr reported, Robyn and Gizelle, who accused Katie of not being proud of being black, also pointed out that while they may have white ancestors along the line somewhere, that doesn’t make them biracial.
There was also Katie’s relationship with Andrew Martin, to whom she got engaged to on the season finale episode after a lot of prodding on her part. On the reunion show, Katie revealed that she and Andrew, who was supposed to appear on the reunion show, just broke up and that she gave the engagement ring back.
As the Inquisitr reported, after the reunion show aired, Katie revealed that she and Andrew were back together and that she had the engagement ring again. Yet, she didn’t exactly say that the engagement was back on and actually admitted that she no longer wanted to speed into marriage.
Are Katie and Andrew still together now? Katie’s social media pages don’t show any recent photos of Andrew.
While Katie Rost is out of the cast of The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 2, it seems that Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, and Charisse Jackson Jordan will all be returning to the small screen. In July, they were captured filming for Season 2 at a gay pride parade.
