Gwen Stefani And Miranda Lambert The ‘Gloves Are Off’! Inside Gwen’s Plans For A Final Showdown With Blake Shelton’s Ex

Gwen Stefani is already plotting her revenge. Following the release of Miranda Lambert’s new album, The Weight of These Wings, the No Doubt alum plans to have the final word. How is Stefani planning on ending her feud with Blake Shelton’s ex?

An inside source told In Touch Weekly that Stefani was extremely unpleased with Lambert’s album and believes some of the songs were a “direct shot at her and Blake Shelton.” In response, Stefani plans on writing a few songs of her own.

“Gwen is ready to debut some very personal songs about Miranda being the constant third wheel in her life,” the insider shared. “She’s also written several songs in which she calls Miranda out for just giving Blake up so easily.”

Stefani wants to release the songs before she ties the knot with Shelton. She also wants to have the final word before Lambert exchanges vows with her current boyfriend, Anderson East.

“All of this is leading to an inevitable showdown between Gwen and Miranda,” the insider added. “The gloves are off.”

For her part, Lambert has been busy promoting her new album and hasn’t commented on Stefani’s reaction. According to Hollywood Life, Lambert has refused to give interviews about the album and wants the music to speak for itself.

Most recently, Lambert took the stage to perform her song “Vice” on the Ellen DeGeneres show. The country star performed the heartbreaking song while donning a black jumpsuit and looked absolutely stunning.

Meanwhile, Shelton has also been busy with new music. Hollywood Life reported that The Voice coach just release his newest single, “A Guy With A Girl.” In contrast to Lambert, Shelton has been very open about how his romance with Stefani inspired the new track.

“You know how it is, when you’re in a supermarket or something with her — nobody notices me – she’s GWEN STEFANI!” he admitted, adding that performing in front of Stefani challenges him to get everything just right. “She’s like Santa Claus, she knows when I’ve been bad!”

Shelton and Stefani have been dating for over a year now and it doesn’t look like their romance is slowing down. In fact, the couple just celebrated Thanksgiving with Stefani’s family and appeared happier than ever. The only question remaining is when they will decide to exchange vows and take their relationship to the next level.

“She is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life. It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart,” Shelton said during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Of course, Lambert’s album has clearly dug up old memories for Shelton and Stefani. Until Stefani releases her new music, Enstarz is reporting that Lambert just received two Grammy nominations for “Vice.” Sadly, Shelton and Stefani were not nominated for their recent albums, If I’m Honest and This Is What The Truth Feels Like.

Despite being snubbed by the Grammys, Shelton is preparing to perform his newest song on The Voice. Along with admitting that Stefani inspired the new track, Shelton revealed that the song speaks to where he’s at in life.

“I just love the song. I think it’s a lot of fun, it’s light-hearted,” he shared. “This one’s just straight up sweet.”

Given Lambert’s successful album, fans can expect Stefani to hit back harder than ever. Unfortunately, the singer has not commented on plans for her new music or when she will be releasing new material.
