Meghan King Edmonds’ Baby Girl: How Jimmy Edmonds Is Dealing As A New Father
Meghan King Edmonds’ official due date was earlier this week, but her daughter, Aspen King Edmonds, decided to make her arrival much earlier. While Meghan and her family may have been planning for a comforting Thanksgiving dinner in St. Louis, little Aspen simply wanted to come out and join the family. And within a few days, Meghan had announced to the whole world that her daughter had arrived. When she was filming The Real Housewives of Orange County, viewers were very critical of how Meghan’s husband Jimmy had behaved throughout the pregnancy.
According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds is now revealing that Jimmy has completely fallen in love with their daughter Aspen. He has been along the journey of the pregnancy and he was a great support system in the hospital. And it sounds like Aspen already has her father wrapped around her finger. At least, that’s how King Edmonds feels about their new father-daughter relationship.
“Somebody’s got daddy wrapped around their little finger already,” Meghan King Edmonds revealed in an Instagram post, showing how in love Jimmy is with his daughter, who arrived about two weeks ago, according to Bravo.

Many people were wondering how Jimmy would respond once his daughter was born. Of course, this isn’t his first child, so he has been through this whole parenting thing before. He has four children from two different relationships, but Meghan King Edmonds revealed in the summer that Jimmy often asked her about the pregnancy and the baby. Just because it wasn’t featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
“I mean, the whole getting pregnant part he was like, ‘Oh, you know… like whatever. What’s going on?’ and [being a] total stereotypical guy,” Meghan King Edmonds revealed on Watch What Happens Live in the summer when her husband was being criticized for being an absent husband as Meghan was going through IVF, according to Bravo, adding, “But now that I am pregnant, he’s always talking about the baby, and, ‘How’s the baby? Can you feel the baby?’ And it’s really sweet now that I’m actually pregnant. I think he just needed it to materialize a little bit more.”
It sounds like there are plenty of things that aren’t shown on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The show really made it look like he wasn’t interested in the birth or pregnancy at all. He often chose working over attending a doctor’s appointment and he even played golf one time. But King Edmonds recently opened up about the birthing experience on Instagram, and it sounds like Jimmy may have taken some classes to learn how he could be the most supportive husband ever.

“From the hours leading up to the birth I had the most incredible husband, he didn’t leave my side. I could not have labored naturally without him and my doula. Jimmy was a constant source of support through every contraction, each blood-curdling scream and each time I told him I thought I was dying and couldn’t do it anymore,” Meghan King Edmonds has revealed on Instagram about the birth, according to Bravo, adding, “He ran baths, helped me walk, helped me breathe, held my hands, essentially endured the burden of my pain for all 22 hours. I am so proud and impressed of the team we made to welcome Aspen, our bond is more unshakable than I ever imagined.”
