Amy Duggar King Squashes Rumors Of Impending Divorce, Also Clarifies Abuse Story Was Not About Dillon
It has been a little over a year since Amy Duggar married Dillon King in a rustic Arkansas wedding. These days they have been busy getting used to being husband and wife and just recently finished filming Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. This show has brought about a story told by Amy about being abused by someone and there are also rumors that she is divorcing her husband. However, it looks like the divorce rumors can now be put to rest.
Talking to People recently, Amy discussed the fact that this reality show that they have chosen to go on was a good thing for their new marriage as it was a time to work out any issues that they may have had in their relationship. She apparently said that their marriage was quite solid even before they headed out to boot camp. However, she did say that they did have their share of arguments and emotions were high at some point during their time there, but they got through it just fine.

Amy and Dillon worked on being able to communicate better with each other. It sounds like that is what they were mainly there for. She made no mention that their marriage was in trouble at all or that they needed the time there to avoid getting a divorce. However, the description of the show does tote that famous couples go there to try to repair their broken relationships.
While Amy Duggar King doesn’t ever admit that they were in trouble before they stepped foot in the house at the boot camp, the reality show did reveal in their description that the couple lacked respect for each other when they first arrived. The Duggar cousin also mentioned the one thing that drives her crazy that Dillon does.
“Dillon has a tone that drives me up the wall sometimes and when we bicker, we have to learn how to talk to each other. We were friends for so long before we got married, so we always joked and said things to each other because we were just friends. Now that we are married, it’s a whole new level of respect that we had to learn.”
It sounds like they did learn what they needed to make their marriage stronger than ever. According to Amy Duggar, they are just fine. She said that they are both grateful for the opportunity to be on the show.
“Dillon and I are on cloud nine. We are really happy we learned how to communicate in a healthy way and we’re completely in love with each other. We are in a very good place.”

Another rumor that was going around was that Dillon is the person that his wife was talking about during a clip of the reality show where she described being grabbed by the throat. Amy took to her Twitter today to clear up the confusion that it was not her husband that was the center of her story. She also did a Facebook Live chat to personally clarify that the teaser for the show was not what everyone thought it was. Duggar fans will be happy to hear that Dillon is not the bad guy that abused her like that. It was someone else entirely.
The story I was describing in the Marriage Bootcamp teaser does not involve Dillon in any way. #Ilovemyhusband

In another recent Facebook live chat that both Amy and Dillon did with their fans, they seemed quite happy together. Many wanted to know when they would be starting their family and the answer to that was that they wanted to wait a little bit longer to have babies. That is certainly a different view than the rest of Amy’s cousins. The Duggar family is all known for having kids soon after they marry, but not Amy Duggar. She will be doing her own thing, but she is still close to her family.
There will be four other couples who will also be featured on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, including The Bachelorette couple, Ashley and JP Rosenbaum. There is expected to be plenty of secrets and revelations to come out during the new season. The series premieres on January 6 on WE tv.
