Fran Drescher’s ‘Hollywood Lifestyle’ Rumored To Be The Reason For Her Marriage Breakdown
Fran Drescher is moving on after her split from her husband of two years Shiva Ayyadurai, according to Closer Weekly. Drescher’s friends reveal that the 59-year-old The Nanny actress is doing fine two months after their split.

Fran Drescher and Ayyadurai made headlines in September when they announced their sudden breakup. A close friend of The Nanny actress revealed to Closer Weekly that she’s still looking ahead for bigger things and “will never give up on love.”
That’s not the only unexpected split in her life. Fran Drescher was previously married to Peter Marc Jacobson from 1978 until 1999 when he unexpectedly came out as gay, and it ruined their relationship.

Fran Drescher has been through a lot, but it doesn’t mean her split from Ayyadurai was too overwhelming to carry on. The uterine cancer survivor has been focusing on her many projects since the split, including working on her Cancer Schmancer charity.
In fact, Fran Drescher is said to be excited about moving on, and another friend of the actress told Closer Weekly that she’s “looking forward to the next chapter of her life.” In September, Drescher took to Instagram to reveal she and Ayyadurai had split. The two tied the knot in September 2014.
Announcing the split, Fran Drescher wrote that she was “grateful” for the time spent with Ayyadurai and added that she had “no regrets.”
“Life is a journey of many chapters. Thanks for your support. Love is love.”
Another friend of Fran Drescher revealed what was the reason of her split from Ayyadurai, according to Closer Weekly. As it turns out, the two realized things weren’t working out for them “pretty quickly” since they got married.
Fran Drescher’s pal also added that Ayyadurai “wasn’t willing” to compromise in his relationship with The Nanny actress and “never loved” her lifestyle as an actress. Another close pal of the actress said Fran Drescher and Ayyadurai were “complete opposites.”
“He was shy and would accompany her to events, but he wanted no part of the cameras or the spotlight [whereas] she loves Hollywood. She’s looking forward to the next chapter of her life.”
Fran Drescher may be disappointed with her recent romantic history, but she certainly cannot be disappointed with her choice of outfits on The Nanny, according to People magazine. The show ended nearly two decades ago, but those outfits remain super-high fashion!
Shanae Brown, an Instagram blogger, revived Fran Drescher’s outfits from the CBS show, which ran from 1993 to 1999, by revealing a collection of Fran Fine’s outfits on the social media platform.

While the motivation behind Brown’s idea is to get as many Fran Drescher’s outfits as possible into that collection, the blogger’s Instagram account called What Fran Wore also reveals that many of the actress’s outfits seen on the 1990s show, which included pieces from Dolce & Gabbana and Versace, are still very fashionable.
Speaking to People magazine, Brown revealed that it was binge watching The Nanny that inspired her to put together the collection of Fran Drescher’s outfits on Instagram.
“While watching I started noticing how amazing her outfits were and that was never something that held my attention as a child.”
And really, Fran Drescher’s outfits on the show were amazing! And Brown even has her own favorite pick: it’s the actress’s pink skirt suit with blue sequins from Rifat Ozbek. Although The Nanny ended its run in 1999, its legacy is truly immortal.
Not only did the CBS show give viewers the all-time great television theme songs, but also showed brilliant performances from Fran Drescher and co-star Charles Shaughnessy as well as taught a lesson or two about fashion.
