Gigi Hadid Gives Emotional Interview While Talking About Walking In Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show With Sister

Model Gigi Hadid showed her emotional side during an interview for the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The 21-year-old walked in the show with her younger sister Bella Hadid for the first time and shared her thoughts on the experience.

Gigi first started off by stating how amazing it was to finally realize her dream of walking in the show last year, as quoted by Entertainment Tonight.

“I have watched the show every single year as a kid, so last year was so special to be able to do it. This year, joining me is my little sister!”

Hadid followed it up by tearfully saying how honored she and Bella are to be the first sisters to walk in the fashion show together.

“I’m going to cry, sorry. I am so proud of [Bella] for getting this show because she worked so hard. [And] for us to be able to do it together, and be the first sisters in the show, we’re really, really honored.”

The young model continued the emotional interview by saying she was excited for Bella to join her on the runway as she’s her best friend.

“It’s amazing to be able to experience all this and to be so excited for each other. She’s my best friend and it’s so crazy to be here together.”

Things were just as emotional and tear-filled when Bella sat down to join the interview. The 20-year-old commented on their emotions, saying it’s a sign they’re happy.

“This is us happy. We’re a really emotional family.”

The Hadid sisters follow in their mom Yolanda’s modeling footsteps.

Yolanda was on hand in Paris to personally watch her two girls walk in the VS show this year, and they all posed for a family photo after. She’s proved to be a proud mom as she continues to post photos in support of Gigi and Bella on social media. Before the fashion show, Yolanda shared a throwback picture featuring both girls as children dressed in angel wings. She wrote a caption on the photo stating “dreams do come true” as Gigi and Bella both realized their goals of walking in the annual lingerie show.

Gigi took to Instagram last week to share about her experience walking in this year’s show. She posted several shots of her walking the runway with heartfelt captions that show her appreciation.

“I will never be able to put into words how much being in this show means to me and how inspired I am by the people I get to work with.”

While Gigi rocked a colorful look with a matching red bra and underwear, it was her black outfit that got people talking.

It was reported Gigi suffered a wardrobe malfunction while on stage as one of the black straps came loose on her outfit. It dangled freely as she continued to strut and pose on the catwalk.

While it was an unfortunate mishap, it didn’t affect Gigi’s walk down the runway. According to Cosmo, Hadid still looked fierce while all eyes were on her.

“Safe to say, despite her costume issue, Gigi slayed her trip down the catwalk.”

Gigi and Bella also made headlines after the fashion show when they turned up in matching nude gowns. The two models showed off their slim figures in see-through dresses as they posed post-show.

However, unfortunately for Gigi, despite all her fabulous looks, her wardrobe mishap is still trending on social media. Luckily, however, the malfunction was relatively minor in comparison to some suffered by other celebs.

While Gigi is making news over her outfit-gone-wrong, Bella is the talk of the town as rumors continue to swirl about her dating life. She walked the show as ex-boyfriend The Weeknd performed, and the two exchanged several looks. It’s now being questioned if the two are getting back together as the Hadids continue to grace headlines.

It seems the Hadid girls will get plenty of coverage and exposure from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show far beyond just walking in it.
