Andy Cohen Confirms ‘Housewives’ Canceled For Good: Which City Is Never Coming Back?
Andy Cohen dropped a bombshell about Bravo’s most popular reality series: one of the beloved Real Housewives franchises would not be returning. Which city got cut by the network?
Cohen revealed at Live Talks L.A. that The Real Housewives of Miami “didn’t work out.” This was just a few weeks after the Bravo executive raised the question in his new book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, according to Radar Online.
“I knew the first question was going to be when is Real Housewives of Miami coming back and I said, ‘Never say never.’ But I could see from the women’s faces that they didn’t believe me and then I kind of didn’t believe me, but I was getting nostalgic for them.”
The Real Housewives of Miami lasted for three seasons from 2011 to 2013.
The Miami franchise starred Lea Black, Larsa Pippen, and Joanna Krupa — to name a few. None of the RHOM ladies got a spinoff series after the show’s cancellation, but cast member Marysol Patton and her mother, Elsa, did get a web series called Havana Elsa during Season 2.
What have the ladies of The Real Housewives of Miami been up to since the last season of filming?
Supermodel Joanna Krupa and Romain Zago got married shortly after filming wrapped for Season 3. The couple had been engaged for five years, and over the course of the show, the two were seen overcoming some major obstacles in their relationship.
According to Insider Weddings, the couple advised other couples to have a wedding that they would truly enjoy.
“Follow your hearts and make the wedding a true reflection of who you are as people. Our wedding ended at 4AM!”
RHOM star Larsa Pippen has been hanging around her friend Kim Kardashian West, especially now that she and her husband, Scottie Pippen, are getting divorced. Larsa and her NBA basketball star husband were married for 19 years.
Just last week, Larsa attended her first public event since announcing her split with her husband, according to Page Six. Pippen attended the DuJour Media Art Basel Party at the Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach on Wednesday night.
She declined to talk about her October divorce filing, but told reporters, “I’m doing great,” as she mingled with guests at the party. A close source shared that Larsa and Scottie hadn’t been getting on for a while and that no one else was involved in their breakup.
“Larsa has been getting a lot of criticism on social media because of her friendship with Future, but the truth is that she didn’t leave Scottie for him, nor did she cheat. She and Scottie have been apart for quite a while. He lives in Chicago while she is based with the kids in the Miami area.”
Although Larsa Pippen’s bestie Kim Kardashian was not at the Art Basel party due to her husband Kanye West’s hospitalization after a mental breakdown, other Kardashian family members, such as Kylie Jenner, were down in Miami for Art Basel as well.
Adriana de Moura has mostly stayed out of the headlines since filming her last season for The Real Housewives of Miami in 2013.
According to Reality Tea, Adriana and her husband, Frederic Marq, were developing a show called Divorce Rehab in 2014. The show was apparently intended to give divorced women makeovers. The couple was also hoping that The Real Housewives of Miami would be renewed for another season.
According to her Instagram, Adriana was also in attendance at this year’s Art Basel festivities in Miami.
The Real Housewives of Miami fans will be happy to hear that cast member Lisa Hochstein and her husband, Larry, welcomed their first child via surrogate, a son named Logan Marc Hochstein, according to Us Magazine.
The couple went through their struggle to have a child while filming for the Bravo reality series.
Lisa was yet another housewife to attend the Art Basel parties in Miami. Lisa got a snap with some of the other RHOM ladies like Alexia Echevarria and Marysol Patton.
Alexia Echevarria suffered the tragic loss of her husband Herman’s death. Alexia and Herman were estranged at the time of his shocking death. Nevertheless, the Bravo reality star was devastated to learn of her husband’s sudden passing. Echevarria told E! News that Herman’s death was one of the greatest losses she and her family have ever had to face.
“The last 24 hours have been a nightmare for my family and I. It is life once again showing me that at the drop of a hat, things can change. I can’t imagine what my life will be like walking into my office every day and not seeing Herman or having our family dinners with the kids and family. We were in this for fifteen years and although we were currently separated and living in separate homes, our spiritual and emotional connection was stronger than ever.
“I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the incredible outpour of support that has come my way through messages, calls and social media. I am sharing this image with you that we took this past Father’s day because this is how I will always remember US.”
Lea Black released a new book since filming Season 3 for The Real Housewives of Miami called Red Carpets and White Lies. The book is a thinly-veiled work of fiction that details the scandalous lives of the rich and famous of Miami.
Marysol Patton was recently spotted with Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps, who was celebrating her bachelorette party in Miami in October.
