Angelina Jolie Reportedly Turning On Her Brother And ‘Manny’ James Haven Amid Nasty Custody Battle With Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt isn’t the only one feeling backlash from the divorce. Pitt’s split with Angelina Jolie is getting so nasty that she is starting to turn on her own brother, James Haven. Will he leave Jolie stranded with the kids?
An inside source told Radar Online that Haven is helping Jolie take care of her six children – Maddox (15), Pax (13), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10), and twins Knox and Vivienne (8). Despite his devotion to the family, Jolie’s insufferable mood is making him think twice about sticking around.
“James loves her kids and is happy to be their fulltime ‘manny’ while she puts her life back together, but she’s so rude to him and there’s only so much he can take,” the insider revealed.
Haven rushed to Jolie’s aid right after she filed for divorce this past September. Not only is Haven struggling to watch the kids while Jolie works, but she’s also treating him like a lowly assistant.
“Angelina puts James through hell when he can’t keep the kids quiet while she’s trying to work, and has him making her coffees and going out to buy her groceries like he’s some kind of assistant,” the insider claims. “This isn’t what he signed up for when he agreed to help!”
Jolie is clearly getting under her brother’s skin, but Aces Showbiz reports that the kids have taken a liking to their uncle. Under their uncle’s care, the kids have reportedly gotten over the split and want to spend more and more time with Haven.
“[They are] beginning to ask if they can live with Uncle James or any other relative,” the source explained. “They just want to be normal like their friends.”
The rumors surrounding Haven have not been substantiated, though he has been spotted in public taking care of the kids. Daily Mail released some images from September showing Haven and the kids at a park in Los Angeles.
Haven started watching Pitt and Jolie’s children earlier this year. With Jolie and Pitt constantly working on new movie projects, Haven reportedly became the children’s full-time caregiver and supplanted Pitt as the father figure.
“Brad’s absolutely working his butt off right now and the kids rarely see him,” an insider revealed at the time. “He leaves for the set before they wake and comes home after they’ve gone to bed.”
Haven has always been close to Angelina Jolie. The siblings raised a lot of controversy back in 2000 when Haven accompanied his sister to the Oscars. Jolie walked away with an Academy Award for her part in Girl, Interrupted, and Haven kissed her on the mouth to celebrate.
“She trusts him, he’s always been her best friend and Brad drove a wedge between them for years so it’s pretty big that he’s now back in the fold,” the insider noted.
Meanwhile, Pop Sugar is reporting that Jolie made her first public appearance since the divorce. The Tomb Raider star recorded a video in support of the International Criminal Court and spoke about the organizations policies towards children.
“The impact of crimes against children is felt down the generations… We know we aren’t giving the best to children,” she explained. “Successful prosecution and new legal benchmark, whether at the ICC or elsewhere, is part of the long and vital generational effort. That is the light in which I believe the court’s new policy on children should be seen.”
For his part, Pitt recently walked the red carpet during the premiere of his new movie with Marion Cotillard, Allied. The appearance was Pitt’s first public sighting since the split.
