Natalie Portman Is Radiant As She Shows Off Pregnancy At D.C. Premiere Of ‘Jackie’

Actress Natalie Portman’s pregnancy was on full display December 1 at the Washington, D.C., premiere of Jackie.

The 35-year-old chose a grey tight-fitting maternity dress to walk the red carpet for the film in which she portrays Jackie Kennedy. People describes Natalie’s premiere look as “flawlessly comfortable” as she posed in the long-sleeve, knee-length dress.

Portman is expecting her second baby with husband Benjamin Millepied, with whom she shares 5-year-old son Aleph, in the spring of next year.

While Natalie looks to be far along in her pregnancy, People reports she told Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday that she still has months to go.

“Everyone thinks I’m about to pop and about to give birth at any minute and I have months to go.”

Portman attributes her fast growing baby bump to being a small person and that’s why she looks “more pregnant” than she really is.

“I’m a small person in general. You show a lot faster and a lot more when you’re small.”

Portman also attended a panel discussion hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for her role in Jackie. The mom-to-be was photographed smiling as she participated in the discussion while wearing a print dress. Her outfit proved to be a funky maternity look as it featured butterflies and unicorns.

She first debuted her baby bump in September at the Venice Film Festival in Los Angeles, according to People. Portman wore a one-shoulder white gown that gave fans a peek at her growing bump. Since then, the actress has gone on to grace red carpets in breathtaking maternity looks.

She wore a white Spring 2017 Christian Dior gown last month to the American Film Institute’s Festival. She paired the gown with a white blazer and open-toe sandal as she promoted her biopic.

Vogue has stated Natalie is embracing her pregnancy by choosing such maternity looks that put “the curve of her stomach on full display.” Indeed, it seems Portman’s latest red carpet look is one of her most baby bump revealing outfits to date. While some fans are loving her maternity looks, others were not feeling her fitted grey dress at the D.C. premiere.

One Instagram commenter who seems to be a fan of Natalie, but not the dress, shared their opinion with “She’s beautiful but that dress…” Another comment remarked on the size of her baby bump and how tightly Portman’s dress fit.

“Pretty but the dress is too tight for somebody who is that much pregnant.”

While these “fans” have their opinions, Us Magazine is calling Natalie’s look the “maternity dress every pregnant woman needs.” The article claims the “ruched” sides not only make the dress comfortable, but allows it to hug curves in all the right ways.

“Meet the maternity ruched dress. With cinching along the side seams, it hugs your curves in all the right places so you get a flattering body-conscious silhouette.”

Despite the opinions of others on her maternity looks and size of her baby bump, Portman’s statements serve as a reminder that her body is nobody’s business but her own, reports Vogue.

In fact, Vogue stated Natalie is making statements by showing off her pregnancy and owning her new curves. Prior to this week’s bump-revealing dress, Portman was wearing gowns that mostly hid her pregnancy.

She wore a flower print dress to the Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York in November, but the look did little to accentuate her pregnancy. Perhaps fans can expect to see more pregnancy showing looks from Portman as her due date draws nearer. According to her, there are still a few more months to go before she’s set to give birth, which means plenty of more maternity looks to come.
