Did Blake Shelton Just Slam Miranda Lambert After Her Latest Diss? [Video]
Blake Shelton may have taken serious aim at ex-wife Miranda Lambert while gushing over girlfriend Gwen Stefani just days after Miranda allegedly slammed the couple for flaunting their romance.
Shortly after sources claimed that Miranda supposedly put Gwen and Blake on serious blast, allegedly refusing all interviews ahead of the release of her new album The Weight of These Wings to avoid discussing her and Shelton’s former romance, Blake appeared to diss his former wife in a new interview.
According to Hollywood Life, Shelton gushed over Stefani during a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the host, “I love talking about Gwen. Are you kidding me?” when asked about his girlfriend, before making a statement that some fans perceived as a pretty serious diss aimed at Lambert.
“It’s been just an eye opener to be with someone like her,” Blake continued to DeGeneres of his romance with Gwen, who he met in 2015 while both were coaches on NBC’s The Voice, before seemingly blasting Lambert with a diss by claiming that Stefani is “grounded” and “normal.”
“She is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life,” Blake continued of Gwen, just days after sources alleged that Lambert slammed the couple for using their romance to sell albums. “It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart,” Shelton added.
While Shelton didn’t mention Lambert by name in the new interview, Hollywood Life alleged that Blake’s gushing remarks about Gwen could potentially have been a diss aimed at Miranda, noting, “Yikes, we hope Miranda isn’t listening to this!”
Notably, Stefani is thought to be the first and only women Shelton dated following his and Lambert’s July 2015 divorce. Blake’s comment also comes just days after Miranda allegedly took shots at her former husband and his new girlfriend, reportedly telling her team that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s most recent albums “didn’t sell” despite the two discussing their relationship in various interviews.
Fox News claimed that Miranda Lambert turned down interviews with both Rolling Stone and the New York Times to promote her latest album, reportedly in an attempt to prevent interviewers from probing Miranda to reveal further details on her and Blake’s divorce.
“[Miranda’s] trying to go Beyoncé and let the music do the talking,” an insider alleged of why Miranda allegedly turned down high-profile interviews and slammed Blake and Gwen in the process, reporting that Lambert allegedly told her team that “Gwen’s and Blake’s albums didn’t sell, and all they did was do press.”
Fans also recently speculated that Lambert hit back at Blake and Gwen once again on her new album, allegedly slamming the couple, particularly her failed romance with Blake, on numerous tracks on The Weight of These Wings.
But while neither Shelton nor Stefani has officially responded to Miranda’s alleged diss, Gwen has also been making it pretty clear that she and her boyfriend of around 13 months are still going strong despite the country star’s supposed slams.
Stefani has posted a number of sweet photos with Shelton to Instagram in recent days, seemingly flaunting her and Blake’s romance amid Miranda’s supposed diss and album release.
Gwen first cozied up to her boyfriend in a snap posted on November 24, where she confirmed that she and Blake were spending Thanksgiving together by posting a snap of the two kissing to celebrate the holiday.
“Happy thanksgiving. We love u. Sooooooo grateful!!!!” Gwen captioned the photo of herself and Blake, before then giving her 5.7 million Instagram followers a second and third look at her and Shelton’s Thanksgiving, posting two more photos of the couple getting cozy.
