Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Are Reportedly ‘Devastated’ By Miranda Lambert’s Latest ‘Masterpiece’
Miranda Lambert’s dreams of revenge are finally coming true. After an emotional split with Blake Shelton, Lambert hopes to get the final word with her breakup album, The Weight of These Wings. How did Shelton and girlfriend Gwen Stefani react to the new album?
An inside source told In Touch Weekly that the No Doubt alum is devastated by Lambert’s work.
“Gwen has got to be devastated by what a modern country masterpiece Miranda’s made,” the source shared.
Stefani isn’t alone. Country music’s top players are raving over Lambert’s new tracks and now believe Shelton may have rushed his breakup album. The news is hitting Shelton and Stefani particularly bad, especially since their albums aren’t matching up with Lambert’s latest offering.
“With Miranda’s album making news like this, it’s a constant reminder of Blake’s past with another woman – and how she’s just on an entirely different level than Gwen,” the insider added.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Lambert believes Shelton’s downfall is directly related to his relationship with Stefani. When the Voice coach released If I’m Honest, his romance with Stefani was all anyone could talk about, leaving his music lost in the mix.
Lambert doesn’t want to experience the same fate. To take the focus away from her divorce and the new romance with Anderson East, Lambert refuses to partake in any interviews during the promo tour. The country star still plans on performing on TV, but she wants the music to speak for itself.
“I don’t want to do any of it,” an insider claims Lambert shared. “I want the music to speak for me.”
Prior to the release of If I’m Honest, Shelton engaged the press on a massive tour, answering any and all questions about his personal life. This included diving into his divorce with Lambert and discussing his heated romance with Stefani.
All the talk about Shelton’s personal life and future with Stefani didn’t help sell albums. With Lambert’s romance with East going strong, she doesn’t want to suffer the same fate, especially since East co-wrote a few songs on the project and sang on the track, “Pushin’ Time.”
Furthermore, Lambert doesn’t want to talk about what the songs mean, and whether or not some of them are inspired by her relationship drama. Instead, she wants to create some mystery around the album.
“By not doing the interviews, [Lambert] doesn’t have to explain anything, including the Blake situation,” the source explained.
Miranda Lambert’s tactics might be paying off. The Inquisitr has previously reported that fans have taken notice of her refusal to talk about her divorce and believe her music is speaking for itself. Many have already spoken out on social media and praised Lambert for putting everything in her music.
“I wonder if Blake listened to Miranda’s new album… I hope he feels awful,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Miranda Lambert’s album is more heartfelt than Blake’s new one… Awww she really had her heart broken.”
Of course, not every is happy about Lambert’s album.
“Miranda will be on my sh**list forever,” one fan noted. “She does not understand why people throw shade. Blake loved her so much… she calls her FU a Vice.”
Despite all the negative press, Shelton and Stefani aren’t letting anything get in the way of their romance. According to E! News, the couple spent Thanksgiving together and took to social media to thank fans for their continued support.
“Happy thanksgiving,” Stefani wrote alongside a picture of her and Shelton kissing. “We love u soooooo grateful!!!!”
Shelton and Stefani started dating in November of 2015. Like last year, Stefani celebrated the holiday at her parent’s home with the boys, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. Only this time, Shelton joined the family.
“Happy Thanksgiving y’all… Eat, spend time with loved ones, and drink some delicious @SmithworksVodka!!!” he told fans on social media.
