Nicki Minaj and boyfriend Meek Mill have had a pretty rocky 2016, involving the two slamming each other across social media before reconciling and showing off their PDA on Instagram. Now, people are asking if their supposed relationship drama was nothing but a publicity stunt?
After months of reported drama between the two, which culminated with Nicki and Meek reconciling after Minaj took to social media on November 24 to post a snap of Mill kissing her feet , sources and fans are now claiming the couple’s alleged recent troubles were a publicity stunt.
Urban Islandz first alleged that Nicki and Meek’s feud drama was all to drum up publicity for Mill’s latest release, DC4 , alleging that after the two had taken aim at each other on social media last month, they were in constant contact and allegedly “laughing” together about their Instagram slams.

“Even while they were fighting on social media they were still texting each other and laughing,” a source alleged to Urban Islandz of Nicki and Meek’s recent Instagram drama, where Minaj appeared to slam Mill for being ungrateful before the rapper then hit back at his girlfriend of two years by seemingly suggesting that she was “temporary” amid reports he was locked in a feud with Drake over Nicki.
“I would understand why some folks would see it as a publicity stunt,” the site’s Minaj insider continued of Nicki and Meek’s relationship drama. “The way Nicki sees it, there is no such thing as bad publicity,” continued the source amid the publicity stunt accusations, “because publicity is what get your brand out there and make people more interested in your music.”
Fans of the couple also took to social media to accuse Minaj and Mill of airing out their supposed dirty laundry to gain publicity for Mill’s new mixtape, accusing Nicki and Meek of pretending to fight on social media.

“Nicki [Minaj] & Meek [Mill] with this publicity stunt lol” Twitter user @Kingston_Born tweeted out amid Minaj and Meek’s drama, while @__tech9 hit back at the couple, “I swear Nicki [and] Meek is a publicity stunt.”
The publicity stunt accusations came thick and fast earlier this month after Nicki and Meek appeared to take some pretty serious shots at each other on social media.
Nicki was first to suggest that the couple was caught up in some serious drama on November 2 after she took to Instagram to post a meme with the text, “Never help an ungrateful person get on their feet. It’s like telling a wolf that you’re a sheep.”
According to The Shade Room , Mill then appeared to confirm that Minaj was, in fact, talking about him with her post, allegedly commenting on his girlfriend’s image, “That’s why I make sure I stand on my own and was M’d up when I met you.”

Meek then took things one step further amidst his apparent bad blood with Minaj, posting a meme of his own to Instagram that read, “Some of y’all need to learn how to enjoy your man’s company instead of picking fights with him 24/7.”
The couple’s drama came shortly after Nicki and Meek got into yet another fight on the social media site in which Mill appeared to slam Minaj as “temporary” before then deleting his account amid the alleged drama with his girlfriend.
“When it’s going down these n****s nowhere to [be] found most of these n****s [be] so temporary. B*****s [be] so temporary,” Mill allegedly wrote according to screenshots uploaded by Urban Islandz before then deleting his account, which fans took to be a diss aimed at Minaj.
However Nicki and Meek now appeared to have kissed and made up following their pretty scathing disses, as Minaj proved with her recent foot kissing snap, while Uproxx.com reported that Nicki and Mill also spent Thanksgiving together following their months of drama.
