Brad Pitt Spends Thanksgiving In Turks And Caicos Away From Family After Divorce With Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt spent Thanksgiving relaxed in Turks and Caicos away from his ex-wife and children after highly publicized divorce with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt was spotted relaxed with a friend in Turks and Caicos during the Thanksgiving holiday. The actor enjoyed a relaxing getaway with an old buddy at the Amanyara Villas, which are popular for hosting celebrities. The actor’s six children spend the holiday with their mother. This is seen as a huge step for both Pitt and Angelina Jolie because in the past they had set the holidays aside as a time for family.
“Brad had a very restful and relaxing stay in the company of an old friend,” a source revealed to People.
Angelina spent the holiday in Los Angeles with the children. The holiday getaway is a welcome relief for Pitt who has been going through a lot of pressure for the past two months due to investigations initiated after an incident with his eldest son Maddox on a private plane. The investigations were launched on allegations of child abuse, thus putting Pitt on the spot. Fortunately, the investigations were recently concluded by the FBI and he was cleared of the investigations. He clearly took the well-deserved break to cool off from the pressure.
There are claims that the children pleaded to Angelina and Brad to get along for the holidays a day before Thanksgiving. Jolie filed for divorce in September on grounds of irreconcilable differences. The actual details leading to their divorce were not revealed though the incident on the private plane was thought to be one of the Pitt and Jolie were one of the most envied couples in Hollywood.

There were rumors that the 52-year-old actor had a romance with Kate Hudson but those rumors have been dismissed. A publication on Woman’s Day claimed that Kate was Pitt’s love interest. They have grown extremely close over the past two weeks and were said to have been meeting up secretly.
Pitt had reportedly filed for joint custody of the children after Jolie filed for divorce. Unfortunately, Brad was denied joint custody though he is allowed occasional visits to see the kids. There were rumors that Brad wanted to spend time with the family during the Thanksgiving holiday. The rumors also stated that Angelina refused to let him see the children but those rumors have also been dismissed.
“They were never planning to see Brad on Thanksgiving per the schedule created by the children and the family therapist,” one of the sources explained.
Pitt’s getaway was well deserved amid all the claims brought forth against him. The place where he spent his Thanksgiving getaway is a popular getaway location for celebrities. Some of them include Chelsea Clinton who visited Amanyara during her mother’s presidential campaign. Bryan Ferry got married at the same resort in 2012. Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Wilde have also been guests at Amanyara. Prior to the retreat, Brad Pitt was on a tour to promote his latest film called Allied.

Despite the dark cloud hovering against Pitt after the divorce, he managed to maintain his busy work schedule and did not let the drama and negative publicity get in his way. Brad remained calmness as well as a low profile throughout the entire time. Brad and Angelina’s relationship has always been in the media spotlight since the very beginning. Pitt is just glad that the wave of negativity is finally over and he is no longer facing investigations. It is not clear whether Pitt had more company aside from the one friend who he was spotted with at the resort.
