‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Rosita’s Next Boyfriend May Surprise You

The Walking Dead Season 7 has been lacking romantic moments since the brutal season premiere, but that may all change when Rosita decides to move on romantically with an unexpected character. The latest spoilers reveal that Rosita may soon have a new love interest and that it his identity may surprise fans who haven’t read the comic books.

According to Comic Book, Rosita moves on with Eugene shortly after Abraham’s death in the comic book series. Now that Abraham is dead and gone, fans are wondering if the couple will hook up on the television show as well. While nothing has been confirmed, Rosita and Eugene have a bond that started with Abraham. The two were the first in the group to meet the red-headed army man. The trio traveled together in hopes of getting Eugene to Washington D.C. to figure out a cure for the zombie epidemic. However, once it was revealed that Eugene actually didn’t have a cure, things began to go downhill. Walking Dead fans watched as Abraham and Rosita pulled away from Eugene, who was then nothing but a coward and burden to them. By this time, the threesome had already met Rick and his group, and they all continued to travel together.

Now that Abraham is sadly gone, Eugene and Rosita may be the only two who can comfort each other while they’re grieving his death. However, not everything from the comic book series comes to fruition on the TV series. Actress Christian Serratos, who plays Rosita on the Walking Dead, recently opened up about the possibility of her character entering a romance with Eugene, who has not had a romantic storyline to date.

“We talk about all the [comic] storylines on set like little kids getting fascinated to see where the show is going to go and what’s going to happen. We’re not lying when we say we really get no information. We have no idea what’s going to happen on the show. We have no idea what’s going to happen episode to episode. We wait patiently with everyone else.”

The Walking Dead star says she’s all for a Rostia/Eugene romance, because the characters have an “unspoken bond” and that it would be a “very special thing,” for them to start a relationship.

“I think if there was a romance between Eugene and Rosita, it would be very natural because they have such an unspoken bond on the show already. I definitely wouldn’t think that would be weird for them to get together at all. I think it would be a very special thing.”

Meanwhile, there are some big things ahead for The Walking Dead Season 7. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the next two episodes are set to be huge. Spoilers reveal that episode seven will feature Rick begin to crack under the pressure of Negan’s mental torture. Rick will have a breakdown of some sort and light the Alexandria community on fire.

The mid-season finale of the series will also likely have some big drama. It’s speculated that Spencer will carry out his comic book storyline and ask Negan to kill Rick so that he can step up as the leader. However, in the comic books this plan backfires for Spencer, who is soon after killed by Negan for his lack of guts. If the comic book is any judge for future Walking Dead Season 7 storylines fans have a lot to look forward to as the season marches towards the mid-season break.
