Miley Cyrus is teaming up with her godmother, Dolly Parton, and the a cappella group Pentatonix for a special performance on tonight’s new episode of The Voice Season 11.
According to a new report, Miley Cyrus and her fellow musicians will be performing a rendition of Parton’s classic hit “Jolene” during the live broadcast.
On November 28, UPI confirmed the news of the upcoming performance and also revealed Parton will be debuting her single, “Circle of Love,” with Jennifer Nettles during the show. “Circle of Love” will be heard during the upcoming TV movie, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love , which also stars Nettles and is scheduled to air on Wednesday night.
Miley Cyrus joined the coaching panel of The Voice earlier this year alongside returning judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and her fellow new addition, Alicia Keys.
Soon after joining the cast of The Voice , Miley Cyrus began facing rumors of an alleged feud with her co-star, Adam Levine. In fact, just weeks into production on Season 11, an insider reportedly told Radar Online that Levine allegedly found Miley Cyrus to be annoying .
“Adam and [Miley Cyrus] are at each other’s throats this season and Adam acts like he cannot stand her,” said a source close to production. “He does not talk to her when the cameras are not rolling, and seems like he really wants nothing to do with her.”
While the outlet claimed Adam Levine has allegedly feuded with his co-stars in the past, the source insisted that his reported feud with Miley Cyrus was much different than his past tensions with others on the show.
“[Miley Cyrus] showed up like she owned the place and Adam seems just really tired of her interjecting every single time he is speaking!” the source said.
According to the source, Levine had grown close to Alicia Keys and allegedly made a pact with his fellow coach to take a stance against Miley Cyrus.
“Alicia has taken Adam’s side in his stance against Miley,” said the source. “They have kind of made a pact to help each other out and side with each other to make sure that Team Miley does not win this season!”
Another Radar Online report months later also claimed Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine were in an alleged on-set feud and suggested Blake Shelton was in on the feud as well.
In recent seasons, Blake Shelton’s romance with Gwen Stefani has been a hot topic for fans and on set. However, with Stefani gone and Miley Cyrus in, the behind-the-scene vibe with the show’s stars has taken a much different turn.
“It is such a different vibe right now!” an on-set source told Radar Online . “[Miley Cyrus] is saying she refuses to be beat by the old men!”
Meanwhile, despite the outlet’s previous claim that Keys had sided with Levine, their second report suggested Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys had actually grown close to one another and were reportedly hanging out off-set.
Although Miley Cyrus and her co-stars have stayed mum on a possible on-set feud, rumors regarding their alleged spats have continued to swirl and some reports have even suggested that the former Hannah Montana actress could soon quit her role on the show. In September, a third Radar Online report suggested Miley Cyrus wanted off the show after tensions between her and her co-stars had reportedly reached an all-time high.
Since the report was shared, Miley Cyrus has taken to her Twitter account to confirm she will be returning to the show for the series’ 13th season next fall.
