‘The Bachelor’ Star Nick Viall Thinks He Is ‘Killing It’ Despite Being Dubbed The ‘Worst Bachelor In History’
Nick Viall has high hopes for finding love on Season 20 of The Bachelor. A new trailer for the upcoming season shows a confident Viall telling his suitors “I’m killing it,” yet other reports dubbed him “the worst Bachelor in history.” Will Viall leave empty handed once again?
According to USA Today, the new promo clip features Viall introducing himself to the ladies for the first time. While Viall could barely contain his excitement, a voice-over assures fans that “thirty single women can’t wait to get some Nick.”
“I am your new Bachelor,” Viall told the ladies.
Later, Wetpaint reports the former Bachelorette contestant is shown ripping off his T-shirt as his suitors exclaim he’s “sexy” and “super hot.”
One of the women even admitted, “I want Nick right now. Right now.”
“I’m killing it,” Viall told his suitors in the video.
Despite the positive vibes from the video, there is good reason to believe that Viall doesn’t find love this season. According to Wetpaint, some of the finalists this year have had doubts about Viall’s intentions on the show. Will Viall’s arrogance be his ultimate downfall?
“They find him to be completely arrogant and a total diva,” one insider revealed. “A lot of the girls think Nick isn’t taking the process seriously that he only became The Bachelor to hook up with multiple women.”
Things have gotten so bad that Viall’s final four contestants seriously considered quitting before the finale. In fact, the majority of the women thought about quitting the moment Viall walked on stage.
“Three out of the final four girls have been thinking about quitting the show since the beginning,” the source shared.
To make matter worse, Viall became super emotional this season and had several fights. Will he ever find love? Or will Viall turn things around and start winning over some hearts?
“Nick sheds many tears this season and it’s due to the fact that the girls pretty much turn on him. There will be explosive fights – and Nick will once again look like a fool,” the insider added.
This isn’t the first time Viall has been painted as the bad guy. Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that fans have always though he was more concerned about personal gain than finding true love. Based on everything that happened in production, it sounds like Viall didn’t change his ways.
Production for The Bachelor is currently underway. Viall is thought to be down to his final four contestants, although no details have emerged about who made it to the final rounds. Reports indicate, however, that Viall made history when he gave his First Impression rose to a black contestant.
Viall is known for his previous stints on ABC’s hit reality franchise. His first appearance was on The Bachelorette during Andi Dorfman’s run, where he came in second place to Josh Murray. Viall was cast for the series the following year, but he ended as the runner-up after Kaitlyn Bristowe gave her final rose to Shawn Booth.
Viall was largely seen as the villain on both of his appearances of The Bachelorette. He didn’t help the situation by continuing to feud with Murray long after the season was over, not to mention his three failed attempts at finding love.
Viall turned things around, however, during Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise. The former Bachelorette star sparked up a romance with Jen Saviano and distanced himself from his villain persona. Fans like Viall so much that producers decided to shockingly cast him for Season 20 of The Bachelor, despite the fact that other Bachelorette were favored ahead of him.
Of course, Viall’s romance with Saviano ended during the Bachelor in Paradise finale. Once they decided to part ways, ABC announced that Viall would star on The Bachelor and attempt to find love for a fourth straight time.
A lot can happen over the course of the show, and Viall will have plenty of opportunities to turn things around with his suitors. Fans hope that he gets his act together before it’s too late.
Fans can watch Viall when the new season of The Bachelor premieres January 2 on ABC. Check out a preview below.
