‘Vanderpump Rules’: Katie And Tom Wedding Drama Continues, Couple Fights Over Therapy In Episode 4

Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz may say that their wedding was the best day of their lives, but the road leading to the big day definitely was not easy. Lisa Vanderpump revealed that the pre-wedding drama between Katie and Tom is going to be the focus of Season 5.

In an interview with E! News, Lisa Vanderpump hinted that “something big went down” which changed the dynamic of Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s relationship. While the SUR owner refused to reveal more spoilers, she shared that Vanderpump Rules fans are definitely in for a ride this season.

“You won’t get to see that ’til the end, but you’re going to have a hell of a ride getting there, that’s for sure,” she said.

Although we already know that Katie and Tom got married eventually, Lisa revealed that there is definitely more to their journey than meets the eye. She added that she got involved during the pre-wedding stage much more than she probably predicted because things just got so complicated between Katie and Tom. In the promo for Vanderpump Rules Season 5, it was revealed that Lisa even officiated the couple’s wedding.

“Sometimes when they were together, it was quite sad in some ways. But it’s a journey, and I think people will be invested in what transpires this season, definitely,” Lisa shared.

In the promo, Tom looked hesitant when Lisa asked him if he would take Katie to be his wife. Moments before, the SUR employee said that he’s “done with Katie” and he’s no longer marrying her.

According to the official synopsis and latest spoilers for Monday’s episode, “Thirsty Girls,” Katie and Tom will go at it again when the former found out that her fiance is secretly seeking therapy. In the promo, Tom was also seen asking Ariana to be a groomsman, which could lead to more fights. After all, Katie didn’t want her to be a bridesmaid, especially after Ariana defended Lala in front of her.

The sneak peek clip also showed Katie calling Tom out for being inattentive.

“You never listen. It’s like being in a relationship with a wall,” she told him.

“When you go to the dark side, its f**king scary as hell,” Tom retaliated.

However, in an interview with E! News, months after their wedding, the Vanderpump Rules couple shared that they are having the time of their lives now that the pressure of having the best wedding is behind them.

“I think we’re just kind of embracing that we’ve overcome so much and remain committed and in love and we’re happy. I’m glowing, basking in marital bliss,” Katie said.

Katie admitted that she has gone a little too overboard planning the perfect wedding. The SURver claimed that she wanted every detail planned out so they could enjoy every minute of the big day. All their efforts clearly paid off and Katie couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

“I remember during our reception, standing there and looking around at everyone and everything and it just felt like a fairy tale. I can’t believe this is truly the best day of my life,” she said.

Tom also echoed Lisa’s statement earlier, hinting that there would be a big surprise happening in the season finale, during the wedding.

“I don’t use this word lightly either but [our wedding day] was bliss. It was just perfect. I had the best surprise of my life happen there. I want to tell you but I can’t,” he explained.
