Movie Synopsis: I’ll Be Home For Christmas On Hallmark Movies And Mysteries

Jackie is a woman who can juggle it all. She’s a mom and a powerful attorney who doesn’t stop for a moment’s rest. Getting ready for the holidays is just one more task on the list. However, this holiday season offers up something surprising–the arrival of her long lost father, Jack, who disappeared from the family years prior. Now, with his favorite dog and his dilapidated trailer home in tow, he’s back to make amends with his daughter.

It won’t be easy because Jackie is shocked to see her father, who she calls Jack, since they’ve never had a close relationship. Gracie, Jackie’s daughter, is overjoyed to see her grandfather, and can’t wait to spend the holidays with him.

Jack, a retired cop, who boasts that he won’t be in town for long, finally gives in to his granddaughter’s request for him to stay until Christmas.

Meanwhile, Jackie is trying to save the local shelter when she hears that it is going to close. To make matters more complicated, she has a hot shot detective and a handsome investment banker vying for her affections, and this, all while she’s dealing with her father and trying to mend their relationship.

Eventually, Jack and Jackie have a bitter argument, causing Jack to pack up his bags and leave without looking back. However, as Christmas approaches, Jack’s absence in the home is deeply felt by Jackie and her daughter.

Through Gracie, Jackie learns that she must be willing to forgive, and that despite Jack’s imperfections, he only wants them to be happy. With this realization, Jackie tries desperately to locate her father in time to bring him home for Christmas.
