Football fans can watch the Alabama vs. Auburn game live online and see which of the bitter rivals can come out on top in the 2016 Iron Bowl.
The teams will meet Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET, with the broadcast on CBS. The 2016 Iron Bowl will also be streamed live online for those not able to make it to a television (a link to the streaming video can be found below).
This will be the 81st annual meeting of the SEC rivals, and one of the most important games of the year for the playoff bracket. The top-ranked Crimson Tide can cement their spot in the four-team bracket with a win, and even a loss likely won’t kick them out but instead send them to a must-win in the SEC Championship Game.
As Al.com noted, those who watch the Alabama vs. Auburn football game live online could potentially see a big upset. Alabama has a weakness against the pass, giving up 400-yard passing games to Ole Miss and Arkansas. While that hasn’t exactly been a strength for the Tigers — Auburn’s season-high for passing yards is just 278, Al.com noted — the best chance to knock off the Crimson Tide will likely be through the air.
And as Al.com noted, Alabama has a propensity to give up points off turnovers, another potential weakness.
“Other than the deep ball, Alabama opponents who tested the Tide took advantage of the mistakes. Ole Miss and Arkansas both scored off turnovers. It’s also worth noting Jalen Hurts had interceptions in the last five games before the Chattanooga win Saturday and fumbles in each of the last three games. Alabama kicker Adam Griffith has made the last four kicks while Auburn brings one of the nation’s best kickers in Daniel Carlson.”
But even if Alabama has a weakness in giving up turnovers, the Crimson Tide’s defense is brutally efficient at punishing other teams for their mistakes. Alabama has scored 12 touchdowns on either defense or special teams this season.

That evokes memories of the famous Kick Six, the missed field goal by Alabama as time expired in the 2013 Iron Bowl that Auburn’s Chris Davis returned 109 yards for the game-winning touchdown. It was one of the most shocking endings in college football history, and one that Alabama is determined not to repeat this year.
“If [kicker Daniel Carlson] misses, it will be wide, but it won’t be short,” Alabama kick holder Tyler Stovall told the New York Times . “It will be in the first row of the seats. I haven’t seen a kicker in college with a stronger leg than Daniel. He won’t leave it short.”

Fans who watch the 2016 Iron Bowl live online may have a good chance of seeing another upset. While the college football pundits — and the betting odds — all favor the Crimson Tide, advanced analytics point to a closer game. As SB Nation pointed out, some of the more advanced statistics show that Alabama has some weaknesses that the Tigers may be able to exploit.
“Auburn is the No. 9 team in the country according to S&P+, and have an offense predicated on efficiency. Alabama’s one weakness has been giving up big plays on defense, and if Auburn can run enough plays, it becomes a math problem to give themselves enough opportunities for big plays. It won’t be easy, but it’s their best shot.”
