‘A Heavenly Christmas’: Hallmark Movie 65-Year Anniversary Celebration With Shirley MacLaine, Kristin Davis As The Perfect Angels

Hallmark Channel has been bringing you the best in home entertainment for years. To celebrate its 65-year Hall of Fame anniversary Hallmark presents A Heavenly Christmas, the new holiday movie starring Shirley MacLaine and Kristin Davis. A Heavenly Christmas is an original film about an ambitious workaholic turned angel who slips on an icy street and dies. This Hallmark treasure also stars, Eric McCormack, according to Chron.

Movie Synopsis: A Heavenly Christmas on the Hallmark Channel

A busy Eve Morgan has the perfect job in finance. But this Christmas, the powers that be want her to be more in tune with the true meaning of the holidays. She’s been neglecting her family and has lost the overall spirit. And just when the stockbroker is ready to power through Christmas without thinking of anyone else, she takes a nasty fall on the ice-topped pavement just outside of her fancy office building.

Sadly, Eve Morgan doesn’t survive this fall. When she dies and goes to heaven, she meets Pearl, a mentoring angel, who lets her know the ropes of angel life. But if Eve thinks she can sit in heaven with nothing to do, she’s in for a big surprise.

Eve must help an earthling through a difficult time in his life. Max is a struggling singer with financial problems and Lauren is his loving niece who has been praying for someone to help him. Eve Morgan is the angel to do just that. But she must not get too close.

As Eve forms a bond with Lauren and Max, against Pearl’s heavenly advice, she begins to have deep romantic feelings for Max, who doesn’t know her secret.

Now Eve has to come to grips with the fact that she lost her chance to have love in her life while on earth. But perhaps somehow, she is able to make it all right again before she is summoned back to heaven.

Actress Shirley MacLaine had a wonderful time working on the film. The award-winning actress believes that A Heavenly Christmas makes everyone take a deeper look at the meaning of it, stating that it’s a movie about love, tolerance, and compassion. The takeaway is learning to live in the moment.

As for Kristin Davis, she grew up watching Hallmark movies and has always loved them. Being a part of this celebration makes it all worth while. During Christmas, Kristin Davis loves to drink a cup of creamy hot chocolate. She also prefers clear lights and real Christmas trees, especially since it helps to keep the farmers in business.

Jaeda Lily Miller, the talented child actress, enjoys gumdrops and gingerbread cookies at Christmastime.

A Heavenly Christmas is directed by Paul Shapiro and written by Gregg McBride and Tippi and Neal Dobrofsky. It was filmed in the USA and executive produced by Jack Grossbart and Linda Kent. The production credit goes to Angelic Productions LTD.

The two-hour drama, A Heavenly Christmas, airs this Saturday, November 26, at 8/7 p.m. Central on the Hallmark Channel. In addition to A Heavenly Christmas, the movie Christmas List also aired on Hallmark this weekend.
