‘LHHNY’ Rumors: Yandy Smith And Mendeecees Harris Were Never Married And Mona Scott-Young Is Mad
Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris were married on Love & Hip Hop New York and the wedding was turned into a special VH1 show. Now it looks like Yandy and Mendeecees might not be legally married on purpose and that news has producer Mona Scott-Young pretty angry and rightfully so.
A new Fameolous report claims that while Yandy and Mendeecees did go through with that huge wedding ceremony on TV, they may not have actually been legally married. It seems that the “married” couple was plotting to keep Yandy safe from paying child support on behalf of Mendeecees while he serves his prison term so they came up with a little plan.
After Mendeecees has been locked up for nearly a year, he and Yandy are being accused of purposefully missing a signature on their marriage license in order for their marriage to not be valid. The reason for opting not to really get married all hinges around Mendeecees’ other baby mamas. Apparently, they were worried that Yandy would get hit up for child support while Mendeecees was in prison and wanted to make sure that didn’t happen. To prevent that from happening, Yandy and Mendeecees allegedly went through with the wedding ceremony but never made it legal.
The source also claims that there’s way more to Mendeecees and Yandy’s relationship than LHHNY fans are being shown. Apparently, Yandy used to be the side chick when he was with Erika and another woman. The source also claimed that the real reason Mendeecees settled down with Yandy was because she could use her industry connections to help launder money. Those are some pretty huge claims!
Now that Season 7 of Love & Hip Hop New York has started, Yandy has been bombarded by drama from Mendeecees’ baby mamas. Erika and Samantha have ganged up on Yandy early in the season despite Mendeecees’ request that all the women come together in order to help raise his kids as siblings while he is away. That obviously isn’t working out but in the premiere episode, Yandy made it seem like she just really missed little Mendeecees, who used to spend a lot of time with her and after his father’s incarceration doesn’t go to her house anymore.
Samantha told Yandy on the last episode of LHHNY that she stopped sending her son over there because Yandy doesn’t respect her as a mother and even gave reasons why she felt that way. Is the beef between Yandy, Erika, and Samantha really about child support, though? Are Mendeecees’ baby mamas just upset because it’s quickly coming up on a year since Mendeecees has been in prison and they can’t collect child support from Yandy like they had planned because she outsmarted them? That would make for some pretty intense reality TV drama.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Samantha doesn’t even like Erika but that she had enlisted her help in order to bring Yandy down. That was shown once again when Samantha secretly recorded Erika ranting about Yandy and then made it public
Mona Scott-Young is involved in the marriage mess because Yandy and Mendeecees’ Love & Hip Hop New York wedding special was paid for by VH1. According to Ask Kissy, they (and the fans) were under the impression that this was a real wedding taking place and that the reality stars were really getting married.
So far, Yandy Smith hasn’t made any comments about the fake marriage claims, so fans are starting to wonder if it’s going to come out later in Season 7 of Love & Hip Hop New York. Be sure to tune in on Mondays at 8/7c.
