Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were targeted with a reconciliation rumor earlier this week, but unfortunately, the report is untrue.
On Tuesday, an OK! Magazine report suggested Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had come to a “temporary truce” for their kids and would be celebrating the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday as a family. However, according to a new report, OK! Magazine’s account is completely false.
On the cover of the magazine’s latest issue, a headline reads, “Brad & Angie Thanksgiving Reunion,” and a subtitle claims the estranged couple made a two-day truce for their kids. However, a Gossip Cop report has confirmed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s alleged Thanksgiving plans are “unlikely.”
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 19 after two years of marriage and six children, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.
The false magazine report went on to tease Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s “first words to each other,” and “Brad’s tearful apology to Maddox,” whom he was accused of getting physical with on their private plane months ago. As fans will recall, Pitt faced allegations of child abuse shortly after Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing but this month, the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services and the FBI both closed their cases against Pitt after clearing him of all charges.
As the magazine continued, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly agreed to call a “ceasefire” and “holiday truce” thanks in part to Shiloh, who reportedly sent Pitt and Jolie a “heartfelt plea” in which she begged her father and mother to be nice to one another.
Shiloh was allegedly “begging Brad and Angelina for weeks to start being nice to each other,” the source said. “Then she sent them both an emotional email, asking for the family to spend Thanksgiving together. She let them know that it was what the kids were hoping for.”
According to the incorrect source, Angelina Jolie reportedly buckled under the pressure of her oldest biological child and allegedly bypassed her and her estranged husband’s attorneys and called him herself. In response, Pitt reportedly thanked Jolie for the invitation to spend Thanksgiving with her and their kids and said, “I think it’ll be good for us.”
Pitt will cook the turkey “just as he’s done for years,” the source alleged, and Angelina Jolie has allegedly hired caterers to take care of the rest of their feast.
“Brad’s incredibly apprehensive about the thought of meeting [Angelina Jolie] face-to-face,” continued the outlet’s supposed source. “But he’d put up with almost anything for the chance to spend Thanksgiving with his kids.”
In response to the report, however, a source close to Angelina Jolie reportedly confirmed that she and Pitt were not planning on reuniting for a joint Thanksgiving celebration. There will be “no Thanksgiving together,” the source explained to Gossip Cop .
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been estranged for over two months now and throughout their time apart, they have rarely been seen publicly. Although Pitt did recently return to the spotlight as he began to promote his new film with Marion Cotillard, Allied , Angelina Jolie did not appear publicly until last week when she attended an event for the International Criminal Court where she spoke out against child abuse.
Angelina Jolie is currently fighting for full custody of her children while Pitt is fighting for joint. As a TMZ report revealed months ago, Jolie reportedly feels that her husband’s rumored use of drugs and alcohol, which have possibly been mixed with an anger issue, aren’t good for their kids.
At the time of her filing, Angelina Jolie’s entertainment attorney, Robert Offer, told TMZ that she made the decision to file for divorce “for the health of the family.”
