As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Nathalie Kelley teased to expect a lot more evil from her character, Sybil. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 6 synopsis was released by Spoiler TV. It teases that Sybil will go after Enzo and he won’t be able to resist her latest move. How will Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) handle this after nearly dying to save Enzo?
“When her children become the focus of the Siren’s latest plan, Caroline takes drastic measures to ensure nothing gets in the way of keeping her family safe. In a race against the clock, Stefan pledges to do everything he can to save the twins, while tensions between Alaric and Caroline boil over, leading them to face some harsh realities about the future of their family. Meanwhile, when Enzo finds himself unable to fight off Sybil’s latest move, Stefan dives into his subconscious and along the way, sets off a chain of events that leaves him faced with a life-changing decision.”
The extended promo clip reveals a bit more information. First, Seline (Kristen Gutoskie) tells Alaric on the phone that the twins are just fine. They are seen eating in a diner, but the location is unknown. Next, Caroline tells Stefan that if Damon gets in between her and the twins, she will kill him. This is completely understandable since these are Alaric and Caroline’s children. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 6 extended promo also reveals that Damon and Sybil go to the diner to meet the twins. Then, Cade encounters Caroline’s twin daughters before a circle of fire is lit. Finally, Damon appears to set up Stefan and it’s not clear if Paul Wesley’s character survives the attack or not.

One theory is that Sybil and Seline don’t want to hurt the twins. Perhaps they want to offer Cade a deal to get out of their contract. The twins are powerful and could probably do more for the devil than the sirens could on their own, even with their powerful abilities. However, the twins are innocent children. Would Seline really do something like that? Despite being a siren, she did seem to bond with the twins. She also told them that they “were ready” on the last episode of TVD. Ready for what, exactly? Spoilers Guide gave a teaser from Kristen Gutoskie.
“I can tell you that she takes an interest in them because they remind her of her and Sybil. They’re these young, supernatural, incredibly powerful girls and that, in itself, makes them outcasts. I think that’s something that she finds interesting about them because she relates to that. But the difference is, they have parents who are caring for them, whereas Sybil and Seline were outcast when they were teenagers. I think she has a protective side for them. She doesn’t want them necessarily to be outcasts in the same way, but I think she also has a desire to teach them some things from the lessons she’s learned.”
It will be interesting to see what Stefan sees, hears, and understands when he goes into his subconscious. As fans recall from an earlier episode of The Vampire Diaries, Sybil brought Stefan into her mind even though her mind-control powers were being subdued because of the tuning fork. At the time, Sybil let him know that her sister was Seline. However, when he woke up, he couldn’t remember. Will any of that be brought back in the next episode of TVD?
