Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Will Reportedly Spend Thanksgiving Together After Making A ‘Temporary Truce’ For Their Kids?
Could Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie be preparing to spend Thanksgiving as a family?
Currently, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly in the midst of a divorce and custody battle over their six kids, but according to a new report, the estranged couple reportedly spoke on the phone recently and allegedly made a “temporary truce” for the sake of their kids.
On November 22, the Daily Mail shared a report from OK! Magazine in which it was alleged that the couple’s daughter, 10-year-old Shiloh, was “begging” her mother and father to be kind to one another.
“[Shiloh Jolie-Pitt] had to take action for the health of the family,” a source alleged.
After allegedly receiving an emotional email from her daughter, Jolie reportedly bypassed her attorney and placed a call to Brad Pitt, who was said to have thanked her for an invitation to spend Thanksgiving together and allegedly said, “I think it’ll be good for us.”‘
According to the OK! Magazine insider, Brad Pitt’s alleged truce with Angelina Jolie is only expected to last two days and when it comes to their divorce, the report claimed there split was “as contentious as ever.” That said, Brad Pitt and his estranged wife reportedly know what is best for their family and that may mean a joint holiday celebration.
Although Brad Pitt’s other children, including Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, are also reportedly hoping for a reunion between their parents, the actor’s oldest child Maddox, 15, is allegedly hesitant to get on board with the potential plan. As fans will recall, rumors began swirling the web which claimed Brad Pitt had gotten physical with the boy on their private plane prior to Jolie’s divorce filing in September. Since then, however, Brad Pitt has been cleared of child abuse charges by the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services, who had been investigating the incident for weeks.
According to OK! Magazine, Brad Pitt reportedly called Maddox after the alleged incident took place and issued a tearful apology to the teen, stating that “he should have been a better listener.”
Despite Brad Pitt’s alleged “truce” with Angelina Jolie, the 41-year-old actress is reportedly seeking full physical custody of their six children while Pitt is fighting for joint.
“[Brad Pitt]’s incredibly apprehensive about the thought of meeting Angelina face-to-face,” the magazine’s source continued, but at this point, the insider alleged, he’s willing to do anything to spend Thanksgiving with his kids.
“For the time being he’s willing to lay down his sword,” the insider added.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie struck up a relationship with one another while filming 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. However, because Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, their romance was not confirmed until after the Friends actress filed for divorce. Then, just one year later, Brad Pitt’s first biological child, daughter Shiloh, arrived.
While Brad Pitt’s relationship was highly controversial at the time it began, mainly due to the fact that Jolie had previously been accused of stealing her former husband, Billy Bob Thornton, from his former fiancee, Laura Dern, that didn’t stop the two from dating and throughout their time together, they welcomed three biological children and adopted three children from other countries.
Since parting ways in September, Brad Pitt has kept a low profile but earlier this month, after weeks of remaining unseen, he began to promote his upcoming film, Allied, in which he stars alongside Marion Cotillard. Meanwhile, his estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, made her first post-divorce appearance just days ago at an event for the International Criminal Court.
