Terri Irwin And Russell Crowe Rumors Of Romance And Plans For A Small Wedding Untrue [Debunked]
Rumors that Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe are romantically involved are igniting again. The pair were first speculated as a couple back in May of this year, but those claims were debunked by Irwin’s rep. The rumors are sparking once more that deceased Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin’s widow is dating the Australian movie star.
The Daily Mail cites a source said to be a close confidante of Terri Irwin’s who told New Idea magazine that Terri and Russell Crowe are allegedly ready to take their relationship public. Irwin is “doesn’t want to hide it any longer,” the insider claims, adding that Irwin and Crowe are definitely into each other and have been for a very long time.
“Obviously Russ has been through a lot of pain because of how much he loved Danielle and Terri relates to that because she’s struggled to find anyone who’s matched up to Steve,” the source said. “This is a big reason they’re so compatible – they’re on the same wavelength about never expecting to find true love again.”

Irwin and Crowe are both 52 and are described to be ready to move on with their lives after losing their respective spouses. Terri reportedly hasn’t found anyone as special as Steve, who died in September of 2006 after he was fatally injured by a stingray. Russell hasn’t found anyone after divorcing ex-wife, Danielle Spencer, in 2012.
The source went on to say that Terri and Russell want to get married in 2018 with a “small and intimate wedding.”
These romance rumors surrounding Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe are being debunked. An Australian Zoo representative told the Daily Mail Australia that all of the reports are “completely false.”
“Terri and Russell are not dating and are certainly not planning a wedding,” the rep said.
Gossip Cop confirmed the rumors as false as well upon hearing from Russell Crowe’s rep, who said the claims are simply “not true,” with the Australian Zoo rep adding, “Terri isn’t dating anyone.”
When the rumors first emerged in May, a spokesperson for the Australian Zoo laughed off the speculations, quipping that Terri would be “flattered” at the notion.
“Russell Crowe is a long-time friend of the Irwin family and has been for many years, [but] the report that Terri and Russell are romantically linked is simply untrue,” the spokesperson confirmed.

The latest romance rumors between Terri and Russell are essentially a recycled version of what was reported on six months ago after Radar Online published an article about the pair. Terri’s rep was quick to call out story as false, telling Gossip Cop that “there was absolutely no truth” to allegations that she was cozy with the actor. Terri wanted her rep to “correct this” and debunk everything written in the report.
At the time, Radar Online’s source claimed that Russell Crowe had helped Terri Irwin with the grief of losing her husband so tragically and that he also helped her children, Bindi and Robert, cope through the challenging times following Steve’s death.
Some might think a romance between Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe would be a sweet story, but the two aren’t dating or thinking about getting married. Since this is the second time around that the rumor has ignited, it won’t be surprising if it shows up in the headlines again.
