Serena Williams Goes From Lewis Hamilton To Ex-Boyfriend Common, Tennis Player Courts Pop Culture With Beyonce On Instagram To Grow Net Worth
Serena Williams pulled out of the 2016 season due to an injury, and she is definitely using her time well! Not only has she starred in Beyonce’s new concept album Lemonade, but she has shown the new line of clothes at New York Fashion Week, spurred on some dating rumors with Lewis Hamilton, and also had dinner with her ex-boyfriend, Common. Even without tennis, it looks like the former world number one knows how to grow one’s net worth!
Having time on one’s hands means that she can invest more time in her personal life. And that’s exactly what the American tennis player did this fall. In October, Serena Williams made headlines by appearing to be close and cozy with Lewis Hamilton, attending the Mexican Grand Prix and Halloween party with him.
“They were spotted smiling and holding hands just two days earlier at the Mexican Grand Prix,” reports Daily Mail. “And rumours of a romance between Formula One star Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams continued to grow on Tuesday after the pair were spotted partying together at Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party. Admittedly, it was difficult to recognize the 31-year-old, who dressed as Heath Ledger’s iconic interpretation of Batman nemesis The Joker.”

She also has been able to strengthen her bond with her ex-boyfriend Common by having dinner with him in New York.
“Despite getting “flirty” with Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton on Halloween, tennis champ Serena Williams was out a night later with her ex-boyfriend Common,” reports Page Six. “A tipster said Williams and the rapper/actor were at Chinese eatery RedFarm on the Upper West Side at 11 p.m. on Tuesday.”
While they are known for staying friends after the breakup, it looks like Serena and Common were trying to avoid prying eyes by having dinner late in the evening.
Whatever her relationship status might be, Serena’s move into pop culture is something that she has steadily been building. Turning 35 years old this year, the former world number one seems to be reassessing her future and how she will continue to grow her net worth.
By confessing that she will not be pushing her game until her body falls apart, Serena has made it clear that she will be taking a step back very soon.
“I’m not going to play tennis forever,” she said to CNNMoney. “I know I have been playing forever, but one of these days I’m not gonna play so it’s always good to know that if I want to go to the office… I can do that.”
To become part of the pop culture, she has been using her Instagram to show her love for fashion, dancing, Beyonce and taking bikini selfies. That move has indeed been gaining her more attention, and she has successfully linked herself to power players like Gigi Hadid, Anna Wintour, and Donatella Versace.
Considering that fashion industry is a multibillion-dollar business, Serena’s net worth is bound to grow if she finds a niche market in that world.
When she was not able to defend her title at US Open 2016, she immediately threw herself into New York Fashion Week to make sure that she does not fall into the pit of depression.
“It’s the best thing because it’s like I don’t really care [about the Open] because I have to make sure these girls and these amazing models look great,” she said to CNN. “I can’t have Anna Wintour sitting in the front row saying, ‘This doesn’t look good.’ That’s always been my saving grace here.”
