Once pegged as a Bachelor franchise villain, Nick quickly turned out to be one of the franchise’s most popular contestants during his recent stint as a Bachelor in Paradise contestant.
Die-hard fans of The Bachelor franchise will recall when the 36-year-old software salesman and Wilhelmina model got rejected on two seasons of the Bachelorette — both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe ditched him at the final rose ceremony.
Days before ABC aired the finale episode of Bachelor in Paradise that showed Viall saying goodbye to contestant Jen Saviano, the network introduced Nick as the Season 21 star of The Bachelor on the live After Paradise talk show.
So, who is Nick engaged to and what’s the twist that could have viewers — and the girl he picked — totally disappointed?
When filming started in September, blogger Reality Steve promised to provide spoilers about the upcoming season of The Bachelor, and once again, he’s come through with the juicy details, including the name of the girl who is engaged to Nick – special education teacher and Montreal resident Vanessa Grimaldi.
Before we get to some intel about Vanessa, Steve is confident that Nick’s intentions are not as they seem, something that may make fans think that Nick has regained his villain status.
If Steve’s prediction is correct, Nick will “not be moving to Canada” to live with Vanessa” and has his sights on Hollywood, including a gig on the next season of Dancing with the Stars, something he’s wanted to do “for two years.”
Steve goes on to say that Nick and Vanessa won’t last, he’s not interested in “marrying anyone from the show,” and he took the role on The Bachelor “strictly to promote his career.”
“There are too many things about Nick that I’ve heard that absolutely have me 100% convinced he’s not interested in marrying anyone from this show.”
“Despite everything that Nick claims, he did this season to strictly promote his career,” Steve writes. “He’s been taking acting classes in LA for a while now, so if Vanessa is even considering this relationship to be serious, she’s gonna have to move to LA for this to work. Sorry, but Nick is not moving to Canada.”
There’s always plenty of speculation about the future of Bachelor and Bachelorette couples once the finale airs, and more often than not, the couples split shortly after they make the post-show press rounds.
However, the past few seasons have proven even the harshest critics wrong. Although Ben and Lauren’s new show on Freeform Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? shows the couple struggling when it comes to planning a wedding (or not), they are still living together in Denver since they got engaged last year.
Bachelor JoJo Fletcher, who got engaged to Jordan Rodgers earlier this year, tells People that they are “tossing around dates for a 2017 wedding” and currently live together in Texas.
Will Nick’s love for being in the spotlight put a damper on his relationship with his final pick, or will he go the distance and get married? The Bachelor premieres in January and won’t wrap up until March, so there’s still some time to find out how long the newest Bachelor couple lasts.
For now, all eyes will be on Vanessa Grimaldi, the girl Reality Steve says will win Nick’s heart while cameras are rolling.
Fans who are curious about Vanessa can take a look at her IMDb profile, which shows that she has appeared in several movies, including Being Human and Blue Mountain State.
In addition to being an actress and a teacher, Vanessa has also appeared in podcasts for Gameloft and several of the videos are on YouTube (check out one of her videos below).

Do you think Bachelor star Nick Viall will get married to Vanessa, or will he continue to stay in the spotlight and, perhaps, show up as a contestant on the next season of Dancing with the Stars?
