Jamie Dornan And Dakota Johnson Want To Move On From ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey,’ Christian Grey Actor Talks About ‘The Fall’ And Wife Amelia Warner

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson may have finished filming all three franchises of Fifty Shades of Grey, but that doesn’t mean that they can expect the public to stop referring to them. While both Jamie and Dakota seem eager to put the movies in the past, it looks like they will forever be known as the actors who portrayed Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

The first movie has not brought them great acclaims and the movie received only 25 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. It was pretty badly received, with one reviewer writing, “Who would have imagined that a movie about sex could be so boring?”

But the contract that they had signed was that they were to perform in the two sequels following Fifty Shades of Grey and they dutifully returned to Canada in March to take three months to complete the filming for the two movies at the same time.

Now that Fifty Shades is done, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have been trying to put that film behind them, wanting to be recognized in Hollywood for their other acting endeavors.

“He achieved worldwide fame playing Christian Grey in the hit blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey, but Jamie Dornan has admitted that he would rather be recognised for his TV work on the acclaimed drama The Fall,” reports RTE.

“I guess there’s a part of me that wants to be recognised for something like my TV show work,” he said in the interview.

“The Fall is so engrossing and I threw myself so hard at this project. I get so deep into the heart of this terrible person.”

Most actors would kill to be known for their work in film so it’s interesting that Jamie is wishing that his TV show, which had much less recognition value, was what got him famous.

In fact, he has been bursting a lot of fans’ dreams by putting himself out of line with the world and the character he embodied for the film adaption of an erotic novel. When asked whether he and his wife Amelia Warner enjoy BDSM, he immediately denied it.

“No. I’m not into that,” he admitted to News.com.au.

“My wife isn’t either. It’s funny. Obviously there’s a huge market for it, a lot of people are into a certain type of sex but I am just not one of those people. It doesn’t interest me at all. So, I don’t think those roles have had any influence over our sex life.”

In fact, the 34-year-old father of two is much more straightlaced than others think he may be. His wife had his second child just days before he had to report to film set in Vancouver, Canada. As soon as she was recovered, he relocated his entire family so that they can all be together in the first months of his second baby girl.

When he was not required on set, he made sure to be with his family as much as he could.

“Jamie Dornan’s eldest daughter Dulcie seems to be finding a way to stand out, now that she’s a big sister,” reports Daily Mail.

“The two-year-old looked adorable in a Cinderella dress-up costume as the family were pictured for the first time as a four-piece on Tuesday. Doting dad Jamie held onto an excited Dulcie’s hand in Vancouver, Canada, while wife Amelia carried their newborn, who the couple are thought to have welcomed just two months ago.”

As for Dakota Johnson, life after Fifty Shades is also suiting her well. According to IMDB, she has quite a few movies coming out that has nothing to do with the Hollywood franchise. One of them is Suspira and the other The Sound of Metal, both which features great actors.
